  1. Over the past few weeks my ranking was thrashing back and forth and now its settled nowhere NEAR where it was. My ranking is absolutely garbage compared to where it used to be. I think I was like top 50 in the US in enthusiast league.

Also I've noticed that my personal profile says I'm #4 on my team but then you go to my team and on number 2. Wtf is going on with all these crazy scores? How do I make it say what's correct?

So a 7 ghz cpu and 5 users with 5 diferent vga's on the same bench session in 3dmark2005 and it's ok ?

    (Just an example)

I'm not really ok with this. That cpu has so much to do with your 3dmark scores its ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned thats an ACTIVE piece of hardware during benches even for 3d, especially the ones counting physics scores. This is a no brainer.

  3. Insanity. Scores are wild. Most of my new submissions dont even get calculated and some that do receive wild scores (108 points).

Can't they just revert the upgrade and try again later? Ive got 5 new submission that cant even get calculated and a novice overclocker on my team somehow has way more points than me with less than a fraction of the submissions.

    Chaos I say.

  4. I'm trying to switch teams to overclock.net and I get presented with this error

    There was an issue switching teams. Please contact the crew if the issue persists! Error: Exception [EclipseLink-4002] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.1.v20130918-f2b9fc5): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction Error Code: 1205 Call: update rank_entry re join result r using (result_id) join custom_rank using (rank_id) set re.participant_id = ? where r.user_id = ? and (custom_rank.type = 'team_global' or custom_rank.type = 'team_hardware'); bind => [2 parameters bound] Query: DataModifyQuery(sql="update rank_entry re join result r using (result_id) join custom_rank using (rank_id) set re.participant_id = ? where r.user_id = ? and (custom_rank.type = 'team_global' or custom_rank.type = 'team_hardware');")

  5. Why dont we just keep the es stuff in the elite league.....oh wait

I better get back to work since I have nearly $1,000 ln2 bill this month for some online internet points that people think I didn't even do any work for. I'll keep doing what I enjoy though and if you dont like hwbot then dont come here I guess. What do I know.

Complains about a 1000 ln2 bill while burning through 2000 dollar cpus, motherboards, ram.....

Seems like someone is complaining about a great deal.

  6. Difficult discussions arent always fun. Thats life. If youre feeling defensive im sorry.

Nobody here is attacking users, lets get that straight. Nobody thinks the elite league is evil..

My intention was to discuss rules and what companies are allowed to do. Naturally people are going to take advantage of opportunities, even precieved unfair ones, thats human nature. The question is, should companies be allowed to provide opportunities like that?

If the answer is yes then so be it, but we are certainly allowed to discuss it.

  7. Well really the records used to be earned, now I feel like they are purchased and those "lucky enough" or "in-house overclockers" are meerly the vehicle for that purchase. Maybe thats just a misconception or a feeling but I cant help it. I want to be showed that im wrong, but I feel out of control with this like the obscure hobby i loved and enjoyed is becoming commercialized and only those "inside" matter anymore.

Its just a feeling. Carry on.

  8. No one is obliged to be a member of HWBOT, if the environment or/and the policy of the site is against someone's beliefs.

No one is obliged to submit results at HWBOT, in order to enjoy overclocking as a hobby.

Overclocking is a vast field of knowledge, besides good or bad hardware.

It is a true joy for the enthusiast who experiments under any cooling conditions, to study and learn-learn-learn.

The right to make rules and decide on policy strategy, belongs to the respective owners.

These owners will benefit from wise decisions or lose from incorrect ones.

The idea that respective members should not provide feedback is wrong, as is the idea or belief that if something is wrong or you dont like something you just keep your mouth shut and put up with it or F-Off. These guys deserve your feedback for providing a community to be a part of. It isnt negative, you owe it to them. Trolling or destructive behavior is another thing entirely.
