  1. Hi Everyone, I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone has experience or ideas about running this benchmark properly on an older magny-cours opteron setup.

Running 4x 12 core 6170 CPUs, 48 cores in total. For starters the benchmark only seems to show 36 cores and 3 CPUs in the GUI, but I thought that might just be an anomaly. Running the benchmark itself though is pretty damn slow. Using the built in monitoring it shows around 80% CPU usage, but windows server 2008 Perf mon shows around 30% (which I'm more inclined to believe judging by the speed). I've tried every variation of overkill (2-12x) but I can't seem to get it to utilize even half of my CPU power. I was wondering if maybe it's because they don't support some of the newer instruction sets?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys

  2. Ok! It looks to be just a glitch with the GUI. Running with the method spiedie posted it is running using all 48 cores now, just still displaying 32.

It's possible it's just an error with the magny cours Opterons. Someone has just submitted a new entry with 4x 6172 opterons and their gui is showing 32 threads also. The other 48 core entries are interlagos and abu-dhabi.

    Thanks everyone :)

  3. Hi everyone, got a bit of an odd one here:P.

Running 4x 6170 opteron CPU's with 48 cores in total and hwbot prime is only seeing 32. Maxing out CPU load at 66%. Is there a trick to getting it to see all 48 cores? Cinebench, wprime etc. see all 48 cores and load up 100%. Running server 2008R2 and java version 45 update 45 if that makes a difference. Any help is much appreciated :). Thanks!!
