I'll be firing up the $50 motherboard if I can't get an adequate replacement today. My Gigabyte that I got yesterday had a bad bios...

ln2 is allowed in this competition???

@ WAZA88 I had LLC set to full. Problem is ASRocks shoddy cooling on the VRMs. Undersized heatsink and ineffective thermal tape. Even with 2x 120mm fans and a high-pressure 80mm fan cooling it it can't sustain more than 1.44V under load for more than a few seconds. I'm picking up a better Gigabyte board this evening.
@Martin White New motherboard is being installed tonight, I just may catch back up to you!

Truefakts- I'm fighting the Vdroop demon too. I think when I get home today I am going to try connecting my Aux power input that's meant to boost board power when running crossfire to see if I can stabilize it a bit more.

Martin, Why'd you have to go and beat my HWBot Prime score?

Just seems to put us lower stock speed processors at a disadvantage when others have essentially bought half of their points by going with a higher dollar cpu. IMHO Speedfirecyclone showed the best gains and should be leading phase 1.
It's all for fun though- I'm just happy to be here!

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I heard about the Rookie Rumble over on overclock.net I noticed on Stage 1 it is ranked by total mhz achieved, rather than total mhz minus the base speed of the processor. I went through the top five and subtracted out base clock speeds and it looks like this:
Current Top 5
1. Federico245 @ 5327.92 (FX 9370 4400mhz) total gain: 927.92 +21.1%
2. Asis_92 5199.72 (FX 4100 3600mhz) total gain 1599.72 +44.4%
3. Bigpoppasmooth 5032.81 (FX 8350 4000mhz) total gain 1032.81 +26%
4. buzzbuzzbuzz 4970.7 (X4 760k 3800mhz) total gain 1170.7 +31%
5. Speedfirecyclone 4895.96 (FX 6100 3000mhz) total gain 1895.96 +63.2%

I'll be in on this in the next week or so. A few system changes since cup 1, namely a new Asus board.
