Well done George!!! The fact that he teamed up with Mr. Jinx (aka Sofos) makes that score even bigger!!!!
George is one of the best o/cers around. If he keeps his word and stop benching then it will be a great loss not only for HOT. Though, I am pretty sure that he will not stand staying away from the o/cing scene...
Respect to a genuine hall of famer!!!
-
Well done bro!!!! Now go get yourself a proper vga...
-
Thanks George... My card though seems not to be doing good. I couldn't get passed 1000Mhz core, no matter what vgpu or temps...
-
Very nice Allen!!!!!!!
-
WOW!!! Amazing score. Well done Andre... errr... I meant JtChen2002...
PS. Is it for sale???
-
Very nice buddy!!! Keep it up.

It can go up to 6,2 in 05 but I run out of LN2...
-
NICE!!!!! Way to go phil!!!
-
told you this is a 6.2-6.4 chip
Man, you are certainly a great picker!!!

Sub 6 is coming...

Thank you guys...

Let's just focus on step 1 first. Having a system where people can lose their place in an "upper league" and drop back to the "lower league" is a much more complicated issue than splitting up rankigs. Yes, even more complicated
Totally understood regarding the complicity of such a transformation in existing system, though you guys should focus on a TOTAL solution which will be fair for upper and lower league equally.
-
Step 1 is to relieve the normal overclockers out there from the burden of competing with heavily supported guys. Step 2 might be a dedicated OC league with relegation etc.
Yes, this sounds right and it could be the foundations for a possible solution. As long as it will not take long before going from step one to step two.

Dont know why but I cant quote posts on this forum....anyway @Splave, yeah I bought one from that guy too, similar story to yours, mine operates on 5 cores. [that could be a seperate reason] but yeah it was not a good clocking chip at all. so from the perspective and having first hand experience of 'buying' an es chip that was most likely a reject from the binning process, these golden binned es are not available to Joe blogs...I know someone else who bought two with a similar story to splaves and mine, no coincidence. I'm not bitter, we live and learn never again will I pay for an es cpu. my mistake based on my desire to get great results, nothing wrong with that and for those guys who say 'im happy being nowhere in the rankings' great...in my life anything I did I want to compete to win and be among the best, nothing wrong with that either, but I think the whole point of this thread is...a very few ppl have a round football to play with while others have to manage with a square one....and be happy about that? lol.
I respect anyone with skills to achieve great scores, but if there is an identified unfair advantage then im not happy I have to say.
Massman I respect you, you are a good guy but some of the stuff you have said in this thread regarding voting statistics etc make no sense, why have a vote if the majority lose? I dont get that at all. whats the point in polls if the majority are overuled?
One of the most "make sense" posts in this thread. So true Bustah!!!
Anyway, I guess Hwbot guys are already working on a fair solution mentioned in another thread so let's just cool down and wait.
-
If I look at the POLL results I see more than 50% saying that ES have a place on HWBOT ...
Well, that's another way to interpret a possible result. The UP TO NOW outcome though is clear, ES should not be awarded with points.
No one is asking hwbot to take this poll under consideration, massman, I am sure you wouldn't. Though, it's a reality and it would be, at least, healthy
to exchange thoughts on this issue.
-
Yeah, forgive me. These "people" know best. After all, what's more intelligent than an angry mob?
I wasn't referring to you Gautam. I forgot to quote a previous post from Massman. Sorry for that.
Though, I don't think it's all about an "angry mob"... I am not willing to believe that there are o/cers taking SO seriously this ranking thing. I am just trying to have a civilized conversation.
-
LOL²
Just take a look at poll results, mate. It's just a sample yet but it looks like people is stating that ES processors are not necessary in Bot.
Regarding stummer, yes I am not able to predict how things would have turned out if there weren't ES around. It's just an assumption based on facts given by Hwbot database. You are not arguing with that, or are you?
-
I can't recall Ryba reaching top 5, but since you say so, there are no doubts...
Though, you are giving me two examples and it's like the exemptions which verify the rule... ES are better processors.
Who has access to ES processor? Very few (since it's illegal). So it looks like this whole thing is turning into a prive party... with sponcored cocktail drinks.
PS. Stummer should be No1 for quite sometime if there weren't ES processors.
-
( waiting for all the ES "owners" to vote for option #1 )...
[ I'm so getting confirmed ] { let's see what the "I care for the community, I don't give a sh*t about points, and "life is unfair" people will say/vote }
Well, don't waste your time Bill. If it was another "cheating thread" then it would be Breaking News all over the world within minutes...
"Big guys" feel safe with ES processors, there will be no more guys like Vivi, who will be talented enough to reach top 5 by using retail.
-
It's not 'real' world record. It's just a very good score.
As long as you guys keep supporting this ES madness then scores like the above will remain "just very good"... To people who pay for their hardware and struggling for a decent retail... this is a REAL WR... IMHO.
-
WOW!!! Amazing score Aris. That's the real pifast WR using retail cpu!!!!!!
-
Euklidis, behave yourself. You are member of a TEAM (HOT), so before posting wrong accusations just think over it a bit better...
Well done Andre, you are a top rated o/cer and you were top rated way before this ES madness and way before euklidis create a Hwbot account...
I am pretty sure that someone from HOT will match your scores in the near future, so be prepared...
-
WOW!!!!!!! R3E looks like a winner...
Amazing score buddy!!! Keep those numbers coming...
