  1. Last post from me unless Massman or the other mods have questions.

Dentlord and I didn't bench "together" as it were because we are both capable enough benchers to pour one or no pots during a benchmark by ourselves. The together part was mostly high fives when a good bench result happened.

I work during the day (most days, I am self-employed), so benches were run at different times on different os's with different compnents by different people. I trickled my submissions in as they came, he chose to make his subs all at one time.

We were using Shammy's gpu bios' with the fixed memory speeds.

His card was capable of 1300mem clocks, mine was only capable of 1200. This is why his best 03 and heaven destroyed my runs.

Adversely, my 2600k was better for spi32 which is why my memory and clocks were superior.

The gtx580 01 results which appear almost identical were run early on for both of us. We hadn't flashed our cards to higher memory yet to see if they would run there. Plus everyone knows that with 01, you run high stable gpu clocks and push cpu for best results.

Don't you think that if we were sharing we would be smart enough to compare results and re-run with enough difference in clocks as not to provoke attention?

My highest 01 during these "joint" sessions was with my 275 lightning. Dentlord has not benched my card for points, only for fun.

Unfortunately things look the way they look, but really wasn’t that way at all. Joey and I were just doing our thing over the last month and never really realized how close some of the results appeared.

  2. Thanks. Ive still got some real work to do though.. Romdominance has a nice gap in points for me conquer..and I suspect he is still capable of more himself! OCA puts out some tuff competition, but I wouldnt have it any other way. Competing against the best, is how we learn the most.

Best of luck to you CL3P20! I would advise you to use the 182.50's with 01 and set your lod to 5.1 in rivatuner. One more thing, you need to get your ram frequency up higher...should help your results. Keep on clockin'!

@ Gom, dood your frickin hilarious with the neg frames in h55 vantage...bunch of our guys bangin their heads against that format too, gl Chris.

  3. You cracked the code - I don't feel for the community.

The second set of X5687 results were submitted incorrectly yesterday, just now I set them to no-boints and you got all your points back.

The ranking system is not severely broken. It's one ranking having a bit of trouble with an unreleased sample. This site has a few thousand rankings ...

I guess the squeeky wheel gets the grease? That wasn't so difficult after all was it? and it only took a month, lol, thanks

  4. This "bug" has been one of the many bugs we have. Also, since Frederik is extremely busy with his actual daily job (for the past months almost no free time), we have to cut down development to the very, very basic stuff. Next month he'll be on honeymoon, so fixing the bug might take some time.

And no, I don't ignore a PM because it comes from you. I ignore everyone's PMs ... (:P)

Well I think this quote pretty much sums up how you feel about the community. I bet if I were one of the big guys tied to a sponsor this little bug would be a priority. Now there are two sets of subs with the x5687. Why should my loosing 90 global and my team loosing 300 or so boints matter to you? I think whats important is your ranking system is severely broken...isn't that the sole purpose of this site?

  5. It's a bug.

The 'no-boints' was designed to be only showing in ranks, but not getting cups, ranks or points. Also, it was designed not to affect any other scores in terms of cups, ranks or points.

    But it clearly does :-/

Glad that my friend Alan has enough clout to be acknowledged, I obviously don't as my pm's and emails have gone unanswered. This "bug" has been ignored as well for almost a month, costing me roughly 90 points global and my team close to 300 points. I bet if we wait long enough the x5687 will go retail. Please fix this.

  6. I just told you what the proof is , its a person with credibility within a team admitting what his own team does.........

Lets go further with an example of this.

Movieman ( someone I feel has impeccable credibility ) comes and makes a post here that team XS is hardware sharing.

Would you belive him if he said that? well if you would than guess what, the source i have has that type of credibility.

It's not my decision or call to throw it out there, its up to that person and it would be a total dickhead move on my part to break confidentiality.......

  7. Actually read all 32 pages before posting. Whew.

Please don't replace "BOT" with "OVERCLOCKING" in my following words. They are distinct.

    1) Please stop saying that people should be benching for fun and not points. All of us do. But we SUBMIT OUR EFFORTS TO THE BOT FOR THE POINTS AND THE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT. Benching and friendships will still happen with or without the bot.

    2) I see why the single team score for a bench will decrease hardware sharing (or at least the significance of it), but it will be at the price of decreasing team significance AT THE BOT. If that's what the bot wants, then so be it. What the bot does won't impact my relationship with an awesome group of folks I call my team.

    3) I suck at overclocking. But I like trying. And I like freezing stuff. And I like soldering stuff. But I don't want to do any hardware reviews or schmooz manufacturers. I'll continue to buy my own hardware to kill as I wish. But I do like trying to beat the top guys. It's fun. While I once was bothered by "manufacturer support", lately I don't really care. Makes it more fun to try and beat people. But I DON'T like the idea of being "delegated" to the minors.

    Very articulate brother Patch.
