    Hi, overclockers!

I would like to share with our community report about ASUS OC Summit Autumn 2016.

    5885b1ca65a149cfbc382d8c6e22a42d.JPG

Event was hosted in Russia, Moscow in ASUS representative office. ASUS team prepared two setups for Z170 and X99 platforms, but focus were on Z170. HyperX supported us with fast DDR4 memory for X99 platform and reliable SSD of Savage series.

As you know, ASUS OC Summit organized by Team Russia - one of the powerful OC teams in the world. Also, in this time ASUS invited special guest from Poland - famous overclocker Xtreme Addict (current no.2 in worldwide ranking).

    So, participant list below:

    Smoke, slamms, Atheros, Xtrreme Addict

We prepared strong Intel Core i7-6700K, which we found one week before event. As this chip is strong, you can see on this screenshot:

Pifast was passed at 6916 Mhz. It`s quick score, which was done without core affinity, priorities and so on. Honestly, this score was done in 3D OS for 3DMark2001. Just power run! :D

As you know, we like so much legacy 3DMarks, so we started from 3DMark06 and 3DMark05. We used ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 for this tests.

    5c309fd6a52c40a89472e712d6d7b6b1.png

    Smoke`s 3DMark06 score: 66721 marks with a GeForce GTX 1080

Looks like current 3DMark05 pushed till limit with Skylake, was very hard to achive this score, but we did it :)

One of the our favorite benchmarks is 3DMark 2001. We really enjoy when we did this score. It was no so easy to achive it, need to some settings in BIOS for high Nature score, also order of priority in tests is important too. For this score we switch from ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 to ASUS ROG Matrix GTX 980 Ti. If you know, how to modify driver of GTX 1080 for XP, please let us know :)

    9c8c428e21aa4a22adb9025bffaf351f.JPG

AquaMark3 was our last target in legacy benchmarks. We changed motherboard from ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Extreme to ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Impact, because we needed 4133 Mhz memory divider. Also, we go back to ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080.

Also, we tried to push limit of CPU frequency, but thermalpaste cracked and CPU dead, when we look at 7030 mhz...

So, we finished with our CPU so fast and we divided on two groups: me and Smoke - TitanX, Xtreme Addict and Atheros - 2d on Michal`s Skylake.

I have to say that Michal has succeeded more than we :D

I think no need words here, just look at this scores from HWBot main page :)

It`s better, than words, right? Let`s go to TitanX story.

Not so easy to buy NVIDIA TitanX Pacal in Russia, price is around 1500 USD.

Our goal was to understand how this GPU are working, overclocking and so on. We just focused at 3DMark Vantage. This GPU could work at 2030/1450 Mhz with stock air cooling.

We did powerlimit mods and go to LN2 cooling on GPU. With such cooling you can achieve 2300-2400 MHz on core. Our best score was done on lower GPU clocks, but overall score was higher due to higher CPU frequency.

Based on Russian tradition, we have no do more scores, Smoke and Xtreme Addict started to prepare TitanX for Apower. :D who cares about scores and rankings, right?

Honestly, these guys: the historian (Smoke) and political (XA) scientist spend around 3 days on experiments with this cards. Finally, this cards working as well. We have no time to check it. So, we will share results of our experiments with Tatan X Pascal to you soon.

Thank you to all participants, ASUS and HyperX.
