  1. oh you mean that place where the xtreme own(cheat)er lies?

    wrong

we're in the right place to discuss about this

Now let me refresh my mind.

Wasn't it you that was banned from XS when OnePageBook was banned from XS for cheating?

If I remember right you were spamming the forum defending him long after it was known that he was cheating.

Maybe you should change your "holier than thou" attitude here.

  2. In 32m you need both, however 192 is total overkill. I bet he could get a better score with a lower number of threads, it wouldn't surprise me for a second if the first few threads were already finished when the last ones started to work.

If you keep your PP I think you need less than 5.5GHz, actually. A tleast not as much as 6, not sure how uncore etc will affect the score.

wPrime32m has already been run on a SR2 at over 5500mhz and got 1.956s

Just not submitted to HWBot but a legit time from someone we all respect.

  3. Just a thought... if you want the overall 32m record, just LN2 these CPUs and you'll get it easily. The cluster is too slow at creating threads. I bet that in a year or two there will be similar setups that can beat the 1024m record as well.

I ran the numbers and app 6GHz or more needed to beat the 1.920s time.

At 5500MHz you get a 1.956s time and thats tested.

Very tough to beat 192 cores with 12 no matter how fast those 12 cores are..

  4. Dave send me you SR2 with the 2 Xeons and I'll nail that overal WR for you.... :D

George, of all the people in the world you are the one that I'd send it to with a smile, but the record would be yours my friend..

The system needs one last thing IMO to be perfect and thats to have a bios update that unlocks the uncore. I mentioned that to Peter and I think they are working on it.

Locked at 20 and with that lots of VTT needed to hit even 200BCLK..

1.4VTT needed and I like to stay under that with air cooling.

I have tested to 205 BCLK with a lower multi but for everyday 24/7 100% load work the machine is a joy at 25x168 for 4200mhz with 1.35vcore and 1.325VTT

  5. wait a minute, isnt it in the rules that ES hardware isnt allowed to be in HWBOT rankings??? well says right in the screenshot they are ES cpu's yet he gets 5.7 points for wprime 32m 12X rank, and 2 points for 32m 2X Xeon rank, thats a little shiesty imo. I'ts odd this would be on the 1st page to, usually only WR are on the first page????

Just so that everyone here is aware of peoples motivations, I banned philbrown23 aka Overclocking101, from XS after seeing a rant by him that he was going over to XS to make some trouble. I can provide a screenshot of that if necessary.

As to Es submissions I was under the impression that once the cpu was available publically it was able to be used.

My X5680 B0 cpu's are no better and in fact they are a little weaker in the IMC area than the retail B1's so I have no advantage whatsoever.

Also the top single socket submission is on a ES also, maybe more, I just checked one.

  6. Go go Dave! Whats your system setup? What OS is that? Is it giving you the best times? Are you running with GPU drivers?

Thanks, and just submitted a 2.203s wPrime 32m time.

I'll get to that 1.920s time yet! LOL

SR2 system is set up as follows:

    MM Extended Ascension case

    EVGA SR2 board

    2-X5680 Westmere's

    2 TRUE's w/120x25mm 113cfm Delta's

    6x2 gig of Corsair GTX1

    EVGA 260GTX vid

    PCP+C 1200w PSU

36 gig Raptor for OS drive

one 750 and one 1-tera WD Black for storage

OS is dead stock Win 7 64 Ultimate

  7. Whoa!eek.gif Very nice Dave clap.gif

Thank you..I wanted to break a minute in 1024m and got it.

Next is to try and break that German guy's 1.9s time in wPrime 32m..

    I got 2.251s.. a 1/3'rd of a second to cut..

He's got a cluster of 8-quad socket boards from what I can see so maybe I can tell myself I have the fastest singleboard time..At least till the SR2 boards get out to the guys this week and they get pots on them and crush my air cooled times! LOLOL

  8. I just wanted to let you all know that Jon or loonym as he was known on the web has passed after a long battle with Bladder cancer.

    He loved the competitions here.

I had the pleasure to meet him twice and the last time was to bring him a single stage that Gomeler had built for him.

He was 48, just an average guy but a good one.

He leaves a 3 year old daughter named Annabelle who was his joy in this world.

ELLSWORTH - Jonathan Mark Magoon, 48, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth, after a long battle with bladder cancer. Carl Magoon; his sister, Carla Magoon; his nephew, Joshua Estes of Ellsworth; his stepdaughter, Leah Pomeroy and her partner, Jose and their three children, Nicolas, Jose and Iesha; his former wife, Tammy Magoon; many cousins, aunts and uncles. 9. With the new gainestown cpu's being able to run in the single socket 1366 boards as well as in the dual socket boards a problem arises for us 'dualie" guys.

No way in hell to match most of the numbers that can be done on the single boards as the duals don't have the bios options for OC'ing that the singles do.

I don't see an answer to the problem just thought I'd bring it up and maybe hear some thoughts on this.

    Thanks.

  10. ... only Movieman seems to be unaffected by XS being offline :D

It bothers me but I learned long ago not to get too concerned about things you can't control.

Xs will come back up when Charles gets it all together and then we can harass him forever! LOLOL

  11. That's not nice to hear. Certainly later BIOS versions will give you better performance! :)

Well, at the moment you could at least get 2 points for each of the benchmarks cause no one has posted before, that's not too bad.

How much memory and at which speed are you running at the moment?

    6x1 gig DDR3-1333 ECC Registered Kingston CAS9

    3059mhz

  12. Hey Dave, thought about posting some more results of the W5580 and X5570 so you can fill up their respective category?

I have but there are some that this just doesn't play well with.

my gut tells me something isn't quite right..

    Maybe the memory subsystem.

Anyone have 6x1 gig DDR3-1600's or better I can borrow? LOLOL
