Have you tried Gear4 profile, which is included in X7p? It’s a good starting point. Not all CPU’s like Gear4, with 86x112 Profile you can check it really quick.

please choose only slot b for Gear4!

with good gear4 cpu and Mem you are able to start with 10k on Air and choose BCLK Buttons for frequency changing

already tested with this profile with my 14600KF,
    i will have a try next time with others CPU ( 2 14600KF, 14900KF and 13900KS).

maybe one of those should work better. need to be ready for cold session in few week

  2. @sergmann back to Tachyon X, the review will come tomorrow

now i'm playing with gear 4 but i think i miss something.

    i can't even train over 8400 Mt/s in gear 4 while gear 2 train up to 8800 Mt/s.

I've tryed bclk 100 + 84 strap or bclk 84 with 100 strap but nothing work above.
under OS i can increase bclk to reach 9000-9200 Mt/s.

    my settings :

    SA 1,2V

    VDDQ 1,3V

    VDD2 1,4V

    Fuzzy + rdeq mode 1 or 2

    mem 1,5 /1,4

    67 126 126 126 127

Okay, so now 7800 is stable.

Where can I find MC voltage ?
also, is 1.54 vddq & 1.5vdd2 is dangerous for motherboard / ram for daily ? I know its very high, I want just to know !!!!

mc voltage are juste above mem voltage menu,

cpu vddq (vddq tx in hwinfo)

    cpu vdd2

you have to find the right voltage for them. it's a sweet spot.

    on tachyo  with 13th gen it's arround 1,35v vddq and 1,45v vdd2.sometime it's lower.

there is no need for overvoltage. juste set 1,3 V vddq and 1,4v vdd2 under 8000 mt/s

    1,35 vddq and 1,45 vdd2 above 8000 mt/s

for higher freq you will need to play with vccsa, 1,2v is ok up to 8266, 1,25 at 8400, 1,3v at 8600. but like vddq and vvd2 you will need to find the right voltage for your cpu.

for freq up to 8400 you can use rdeq mode 2, above 8600 you may need rdeq mode 1

for mem voltage, tachyon need to have a gap between vdd and vddq(vddq mem not vddq cpu). 0,1 v between both on mine above 8000 mt/s

    Hello, so I flashed X7P (Z690) for my z690 tachyon, I can't get 7800 stable.

My ram kit is 7800 c36 g.skill, no ram fan on it.

So to get 7600, I just set XMP and memory system multipler on 7600.

    13900K

    1.40vdd

    1.45vdd2

    1.2 SA

    RDEQ 2

    Didn't change anything other.

Could someone help me please ?

i have a Z690 tachyon with the same kit on a 13900KS. i can get 8000C34 daily stable, bench up to 8600C34 on it.

for xmp there is nothing to change inside the bios.

If it's too difficult in your case to get it stable try this :

    1.2V SA

    1.3V VDDQ

    1.4V VDD2

    RDEQ mode 2

Flare mode + DDR bus response at 3-5 (i didn't try wirhl mode for now)

if it's not working try 1.35V VDDQ and 1.45V VDD2

Hello, Im currently owning a z690 tachyon.
I want to flash it to z790 xoc, how can I do it ? How can I fix if it's brick the BIOS Port (I know that tachyon has 2 BIOS but just in case). Also, z690 can be flashed into tachyon x XOC ? Already thanks for answer if there is any ! Have a good day :)

hello, you must have to flash the last x7p bios for z690, it's the same as z790 and z790 x.

there is no reason to crossflash to z790 bios

You can use same tools for z790 and z790x, works fine with both boards.

Havent tested 13th gen on z790x, but 14th gen works fine on both boards. Same settings and same max frequency is possible.

OC-Settings, especially for LN2 are same. And like always you must play with voltages to get CPU Fullpot . Just haven’t found right settings for SuperPi and CPU @Fullpot. Need to play a little bit more with voltages and settings.

At the moment I couldn’t get higher frequencies on z790x compared with z790 and my 14th Gen CPU’s. Need a little bit more time to check everything.

some settings on z790x could be different vs z790, on the z790 i have tested i need rdeq mode 1 over 8600Mt/s. on z790x rdeq mode 1 doesn't work at all on my sample. for other ppl it work. in my case (with 14600KF and 7800C36 gskill adie) i can bench up to 8750C34 with rdeq mode 2,
memory voltage are also a bit differents, on Z790 i need vddq = vdd -0,1v, on z790x i need vddq = vdd -0,15v

other settings are quite the same, flare mode, ddr response ... SA, VDDQ and VDD2 cpu
