Its just that i lost the flame..
Everything is restricted and voltage locked..
And always when i benchmark a GFX card today the voltage limit sets the limit, not me. And how fun is that?
And spending hours after hours just to find a way to unlock the cards, no sir..
I like benchmarking, not software manipulation, or endlessly browsing the web for backdoor information
So i feel that i cant go any further, its many members just like myself that turned to CPU benchmarking due to this, and eventually stopped benchmarking.. Flame gone, slipped
If i speak for myself> Why should i benchmark a card for, when i cant max them out, Waste of time if you ask me..
The voltage restrictions sets the score, not me..........
So no more waste of time, or money. leaving this behind me now
The first years was different (didnt reach that high in OC), but after a couple of years, when i started with extreme cooling, everything got uphill, just because of the above..
There you have it, lock, stock and barrel... its a dead run

Some residues are still left after using the official button of death..
I am out of this I/O sandbox 4 good

Update..
Stutter problem solved X99
It was a couple of slightly messed up TRTL/IO bios settings
Over and out
-
Very nice..... Congratz.....
-
yes, sure did
This bios dont have any idle clocks, its full force all the way
Its my virgin stuttering, i have never seen this before..
Its not stutter here and there, its all through the benchmark, from FPS 1 to the end
-
i can run at 1350mhz just fine, but the benchmarks look like crap
and 1350mhz is very low, considering
So my guess is that the stuttering pull down the OC big time, and the score
and if i cant fix the stuttering issue, the GPU will go to the shelf of "another day another time, maybe"

above 1200mhz (Matrix)
DICE
I have searched online for a fix, but people recomend just about anything as a solution.
Thicker sata cables, remove intel stickers from the case, change fans, and so on.. ^^
My other Matrix 290x's did not have this issue on z97
I have a really shabby/tacky SSD, can that be a contributing factor?
-
Anyone know a fix..
It can be many things i know
I have tested with 2 different mobo's (and different monitors), same result.. X99 @ x8 and x16 3.0
Stuttering when OC
First time ever has happened to me, i have never seen the "phenomena" before..
I have a feeling its affecting FPS and OC range negatively because of this?
-
Thanks..
but i have decided to drop this benchmarking now
Maybe i will pick it up one day, once the HW designers acknowledge/recognize benchmarking, and decide to approach the customers/overclockers..
Have a great OC'ing Buildzoid, sorry you had to do the research in vain....

I wont lose any sleep over this GPU
But since i have it, i thought i would do some benchmarking with it (haven't tried dice on a gpu before)
Thanks for your tips buildzoid..

the Ln2 bios mode wont do much good for me i am afraid. max core voltage 1,32v regardless of AB or ABX version, or any other "unrestricted" app..
So yes its a staggering 0,1v difference between the bios no1 and bios no2 1,22v Vs 1,32v (Ln2 bios)
I am convinced that MSI optimized the voltages for Ln2 benchmarking. But i feel i need a bit more range than that, if i am going to mount a POT, and benchmark it
Picture of the PCB (from the net)--> http://img1.lesnumeriques.com/test/90/9025/msi_r9_270x_hawk_pcb_hq.jpg

Its for a hawk 270x, but i have one chip holding the gaming 270x bios right now (non UEFI
I need to to Dice something, but for now the sliders isnt going as far as i want them to go..
Max now is 1,32v (core), and 1,7v vmem, that wont cut it
I dont even know if it will be needing a HW mod, to open up..
Any input appreciated..

i see now that this is the wrong thread, MOD please move this thread if you like..
Sorry for this

seem like you use a chiller my error..
Amazing 7950's you got, they should perform much higher, when you manage to keep these identical clocks on all those benchmarks.. walk in the park kinda..
-
Hello, how is it possible that you can run the identical GPU clocks (1400/1950mhz 1,3v), on your Radeon 7950 3D mark benchmarks?
3d mark vantage
heaven basic
heaven extreme
firestrike
3d mark 11
and without a chiller?
Just curious

its a great POT
-
Thanks Q.. Yea it a great POT
-
No. they are good.. Love the picture BTW....
-
supernice............

Thanks guys..
Its 4750mhz not 4600mhz

I have asked several times at hwbot/facebook also for my account to be removed
2015-03-30> My account is still very active (apparently), and i am still in the league ranks??
Didnt i make myself clear?
