Massman I saw big difference between 3DMark 2001 SE scores, but i thought results depend from tweeks(LOD, Drivers, etc). Good notice, thanks. If I will be able I check your theory with MSI and ASUS board
-
MSI bios' are all F'd up.
1.4 = 32ghz stock speed...and no options are applied
1.7-1.8b6 = bios freezes when you try to exit (even if you dont save anything)
My MSI P67A-GD55 sometimes freezes too. But very rarely. It's working good, but I have some problem with 1:7 divider.
-
Not as far as I can see. I was also expecting Asrock to drop their bioses on the web, but haven't seen anything so far ... :-(
Thanks Massman

Good result, what board did you use?
-
I don't see EVGA BIOS.Does anybody here have board of this vendor?
-
Very good efficiency. Congrats!
-
why not set the voltage lower?
Becouse it isn't normal when you set Vcore 1.6v, but multimetr or cpu-z show 1.63V(I've had the same issue with MSI P67A-GD55
1Day- flashing memory is pretty simple. I dont know it supported by P67, but SPDTool or Thaiphoon Burner worked great with "old" chipset like x58/p55/x48 etc. With AMD they also worked great.

Update previous info: Intel Core i7 2600K L039B470 #4462

Hm, if I remember correctly I was able to run 2133, but not CL=6. Anyways, here's the new bios for both GD55 and GD65:
Wow, I see new BIOS But too late MSI P67A-GD55 is sending off from me. Next time I'll try new board of another vendor.
-
My 2600K is very hot. wprime 1024 gave me evaporator temp ~ -10C, normal idle with my ss -50 -55C.
P.S. Looks like if you have cpu which can boot with 55 multi you're lucky.
-
So far it looks like you'd better stay clear of all the #00xx chips. None of the low numbers hit any high speeds :-/
Number on the black PCB ~ 3600?
I'll answer to you later

L039B470 2600K, best of two
http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2107821_maj0r_pifast_core_i7_2600k_13.31_sec?new=true
I think it was max result for this cpu.

I agree with you. Will try another board as soon as possibleThat error message is a pain lol. Picking up a GD65 tomorrow and seeing if I get the same as the GD55. -
Did some quick tests on DICE. Capped at 5.4 same as air. Got another 2600K again capped at 5.4. 55x multi boots fine but freezes before loading windows. Some PCIe vendor doesn't match error.
I've got the same issue with MSI GD55
I' ve tested with SS ~50C, 55 multi was possible, with water only 54 multi was possible. Board or cpu worked strange with good memory(it didn't work with tight timings). Looking for best cpu and board
Anybody knows the programm which can change timings at OS?
-
Wow. 109 bclk with high multiplier!
-
I have only one word - excellent! Congrats!
-
You have to delete this score becouse PhysX was enabled. It is not allowed according hwbot rules.
-
Thanks SoF. I'll check your info when 2600k will be available in Ukraine.
-
No I didn't. Maybe I'll try later
-
Why did you hide final score?
-
-
May be it wrong forum for this discussion
-
Nice competition but where are the prizes?
-
Are old scores allowed? Example my old scores Super Pi and CPU-Z wich I got recently?
3DMark01 needs right board/bios.
in Sandy Bridge (P67/Z68) OC

Sounds bad. I've got MSI board and I going to change it to ASUS Sabertooth.
