    Agree... Competition made for professional OCers (or very rich guys). Totally unfair.

     

    MSI wants world records broken at their event. they do not want 15 minute spi32M or AIWHDs running.

     

    Plus limiting the entries to the hardware that will be benched (highend) at the actual event for another reason. Experience. They want clockers that are familiar with p67/x79/maybe even z77 and they want people familiar with high end GPUs.

     

    I wouldnt want to dole out 10 ferraris to a bunch of people that only have experience with go-karts. They wont know what they are doing will break stuff and then badmouth my ferraris.

     

     

    so while I also feel slighted at not being able to compete, and my participation of late has been lacking for a lot of the same reasons (financial issues), I can completely understand why they have those HW requirments.

     

    I still dont understand the skewed point system though lol

    Master of 3d11 contest sweet dont think my AIWHD will stand a chance though *sigh

     

    Whoever places 1st in 3D 11 unless they fail to complete the other two tests should win this easily. Very little point differnces in the other two tests and massive deficits for not getting first in the3d11.

     

    Not sure how I understand that weight ratio to work. I understand the percentages are similar but the points arent.

     

    2nd place 3d11 is worth more than 1st place in other two tests combined!

    Yeah, its a new install not sure why its doing that. Assuming also its a screw up on my end. working great in Opera now though with no issues since the update.

     

    I primarily use Opera anyway, so next reinstall I will try IE again. (or just update to 9 and try that)

     

    EDIT: Works fine in 9 too. Musta been a wierd glitch on my latest install.

    Working great in Opera.

     

    For some reason page loads in IE like this...

    Everything is loaded. I can move mouse around and click links (that I cant see except in the status bar).

     

    Going to stick with Opera for now I think ;)

     

    (EDIT: Forum works fine though and I used IE to post this :) )

    Nope was using IE9 and opera 11.5 something.

     

    Site works great when someone directly links, but opening up a user profile for example when I click on their stuff nothing happens.

     

    I understand if the server goes down at nights for maintenance or something, late night is usually when I have the most trouble.

     

    Next time I come across something specific I will use the links massman posted. thanks guys!

    Hey guys, im not an active member of the community. Either Benchmark or forum wise.

     

    there is a reason for that, but first I want to point something out.

     

    I love what you guys are doing here, giving us n00bs and pros a place to compare scores and doing all you can in regrads to validation and such

     

    So thank you for your efforts in that.

     

    The down side...

     

    I gave up on hwbot, the site does not even work 90% of the time.

     

    Submissions seems to work, but loading anything from the main site just leads to a circle 0 most of the time. some links directly to something, works fine, anything from teh homepage, you click, its willy nilly if it works or not, and if someone posts a user profile, dont try and click anything like top submissions or whatever. Have not seen it work yet.

     

    The site is unusable since rev4. Was barely usable before that, main reason I come here is to compare my scores vs others. And it fails at that now

     

    So, how can I help?

     

    Help me help you. What do I need to do to report failures. I would say institute a report feature for when things do not work, but considering most of the failures are click related, I think that would just be another fail point. Direct links work.. links on your own site do not.

     

    So anyway I can help, let me know, I will try.

    I clipped this one thing becasue I feel you are misguided a little.

     

    So let me get this straight?

     

    You want to ban someone that does not do incredible effeciency at a live comp where they have limited time.......

     

    You do realize for instance lets use 32m pi for example the best results are obtained by tuning each timing one at a time and running bench, jotting down gains or losses and repeating. This could take days platform dependant and given your available time to test between a real life.

     

    Really the OS plays little role here, far less than you think.

     

    This is realistic in a live competition with time limits how?

     

    A perfect example of this is MOA, we were told the model of ram that was to be used, we bought said model to get a feel for it and dial in ballpark performance subs prior to event. When we got to comp model of ram was not what we purchased nor anything like it ( not even same ICS in fact we had single bank 3x2g and the model for event was dual bank 3x2g), nothing worked we had pretested for not to mention it seemed we had a bad stick, our results suffered greatly.

    Absolutely it won't be sad, those 2 scores were in preperation of rev 4. We knew the highest would count the most so we tried to get the highest possible we could for our team with what we had at our disposal ;)

     

    AFAIK, rev4 makes my team top 5 if not better. IT also make my contribution to the team meaningless.

     

    You might contribute to your team. does that mean that those that are not top 5 guys are no longer worthwhile? Why have them on the team? Should it become NASCAR? totally corporate sponsored?

     

    Easy to say now that you will include them, in a year ... only time will tell.

     

    AFAIK Rev4 makes a whole bunch of PUREs. Creme de la creme, not busting on PURE, just saying they are the thing to shoot for. They are going to have to break up to 4 teams minimum. Top 4 remains to be seen.
