    Sorry but you dont know the true story man.

     

    That means nothing.Emperor Constantine made Byzantium capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. From that point on, the city was known as Constantinople,finally the Ottoman Turks led by SULTAN MEHMET II(als known FATIH SULTAN MEHMET) were able to conquer the city. and renamed the city Istanbul(capital of OTTOMAN EMPİRE).
