so there you have it, more have voted yes, about 66% have than no, so lets bring on the hwbot points for vantage! also does this mean you get points for your previous runs or just ones from this point on?

Seems the only logical way to look at it. The poll is really two parts depending on the total votes. Before it is decided what configuration the benchmark is run it needs to be determined if the majority even want it used. So the total number of votes for the three configurations should be compared to the votes for not counting the benchmark for points.
If the no votes win then there is no Vantage benchmark. If the yes votes win then the category with the most yes votes should dictate what will be used for points.
i would say that logical way to look at this poll is that the option which has most votes wins
but others have other logic -
i can bet that they ll read this as 66,66% for "yes" and 33,33% for "no"
even thogh poll has 4 options it ll be read as two options -
Anyone who makes multiple accounts to bias a POLL which is about adding a certain benchmark or not is just plain sad.

This has nothing to do with team spirit.
To keep benching old HW i have to buy it,instead i can save the money and when i be able i will buy something that can be competitive.

HWboints rev2 introduced the Hardware Point cap to stop grinders without limiting overclockers in their search for more points. over time we might increase the Hardware Point cap, but it will always remain in place to prevent Quantity to be the factor instead of Quality

who, do you think, is a better overclocker?
- guy who runs highend hardware close to its limits scoring global WRs (quality)
- guy who runs thousands of CPUs near stock frequency (quantity)
since those two are completely different categories - there are two separate ranking at hwbot for either kinds of benchers
WR is a question of "good" bencher one session which will give him tens of points, and scoring even on stock frequencies rare cpus, gpus for those tens points given for WR
i dunno where is more work and time needed
lol i would argue also money spent can be different coz usually the new cpus are given by intel or amd but all in all i never expected that pointing system would be fair
and also point that exist in one category (team) and not exsist in other (personal) sounds ridiculous imho

today i was bored and was browsing net with my low-end cell phone (nokia 2610) madshrimps was displayed in very convinient way, gratz
but... on opera browser your site is unredible and i ve to revert to firefox to see anything
