My very own try to reach the highest rank on Futuremark ORB for similar systems!

Hi, name is Sonic and I just had a boring day...

 

I have spend this day trying reach the highest rank on the Futuremark ORB for similar systems with one 7900GTX =)

...I hope you will enjoy reading this.

 

I start all over from stock settings including CPU, GPU and memory.

In the end I changed the PCI-E Bus from 100 to 130Mhz and NB to SB HT frequency from 200 to 240Mhz... =)

 

I starting with the CPU, then change memory frequency and timmings and last I will overclock my graphics card...

 

Please, I am 16 years old and then do not comment s*h*i*t for my low-end skills =)

System settings when Stock:

 

First test settings: (CPU 2000Mhz, DRAM 200MHz 5-5-5-12-17-2T, GPU 650/800Mhz) This is acually underclocked...

 

3DMark 2005 Score:

Graphics Score: 9485 3DMarks

CPU Score: 5188 CPUMarks

 

SuperPi:

1M, 45.297s (That´s really bad, Intel does this under 10)

Second test settings: (CPU 2600Mhz, DRAM 266MHz 5-5-5-12-17-2T, GPU 650/800Mhz)

Graphics Score: 10693 3DMarks

CPU Score: 5756 CPUMarks

 

SuperPi:

1M, 36.547s (much better time, but still slow for an AMD X2)

Third test settings: (CPU 3003Mhz, DRAM 231MHz 5-5-5-12-17-2T, GPU 650/800Mhz)

CPU Score: 6973 CPUMarks

 

SuperPi:

1M, 31.500s

#17 (You), Score 11120 3DMarks (Yeaa, 17th place and my graphic card runs stock)

 

Fourth test settings: (CPU 3003Mhz, DRAM 375MHz 5-4-4-8-16-1T, GPU 650/800Mhz)

Here a raise the PCI-E Bus from 100 to 130Mhz and NB to SB HT frequency from 200 to 240Mhz... (this give me 2000+ CPUMarks)

I raise my memory frequency from 231MHz to 375MHz and tighter the timmings at the same time (that´s impressive)

 

3DMark 2005 Score:

Graphics Score: 11367 3DMarks

CPU Score: 8953 CPUMarks

 

SuperPi:

1M, 28.563s (and here we are, at least under 30...)

Fifth test settings: (CPU 3003Mhz, DRAM 375MHz 5-4-4-8-16-1T, GPU 720/908Mhz)

Now I am going to overclock my graphics card, from 650/800 to 720/908Mhz

Graphics Score: 12551 3DMarks

CPU Score: 9348 CPUMarks

 

SuperPi:

1M, 28.556s
