S_A_V Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Found some way to enable write-back cache in AMD RAIDExpert? Quote
Woomack Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 write back is standard option in RAID ROM for probably any 990FX board except ASUS, tests made on 990FXA-UD5 rev 1.0 ( so no LLC ) bios F6 and 2x M4 64GB fw 0309 Quote

I will try to extract RAID ROM (SATARAD5.BIN) from Gigabyte BIOS with CBROM and replace it into ASUS BIOS with MMTool Aptio. Quote

S_A_V Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Unfortunately SATARAD5.BIN from Gigabyte Hybrid EFI BIOS is in old format, not compatible with UEFI modules (RaidX64, RaidSetup, RaidLoader). But I found new versions of UEFI RAID modules in MSI 990FXA-GD80 BIOS. MSI 990FXA-GD80 BIOS 11.8: AMD RAID Utility v1.20 (RaidSetup), AMD RAID Driver v1.0.0.20 (RaidX64), RAID Loader Asus Crosshair V Formula BIOS 1102: AMD RAID Utility v1.17 (RaidSetup), AMD RAID Driver v1.0.0.17 (RaidX64), RAID Loader Here is modded Asus Crosshair V Formula BIOS 1102 with updated RAID modules from MSI BIOS (untested for now): http://www.mediafire.com/?f473hbc225i4t4e Quote
