Atlas Rush Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Hi guys, bringing up to you something interesting: this morning I delidded my 4770k, I was FKIN afraid but yea, I made it out! I made a video that I'll upload tonight since connection is only available at that hour of the day. Meanwhile, I gained something like 30°C (precisely 27-28°C), passing from 95+°C with heavy stress test @ 5.0GHz to barely 70°C. I just had a quick session for Linx, just to see temperatures @ 4.5GHz, and that's what I got... As soon as the video (italian language) is up, I'll post it here if someone is interested. However I succeeded in benchmarking with the CPU @ 4.9GHz with temperatures up to 71-72°C with 3Ds Before delidding, I only could bench @4.8GHz and I had to wait for the "cooler" hours of the day. Eventually, I used Liquid Pro between IHS and die, while I used GC-Extreme between IHS and waterblock (running on a H100i atm). BYE! Quote
Alex@ro Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 very good shepeeu,u should test it under cold not running lynx Quote
Atlas Rush Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 as soon as possible bro, here's not easy to bench under LN2, humidity is high and now (17:39) it's 29°C inside the house Quote
Alex@ro Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Oh,if cold is coming then good.Awaiting your resuls.Make sure to replace liquid pro between die and ihs with gelic gc extreme, liquid not good for sub-zero Quote
Atlas Rush Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 With GC-Extreme under the IHS, I get +5 +8°C on the core, and since this is a "Daily" CPU mostly, I don't know what I'll put inside Quote
napoleon85 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 What were you using to cut through the glue? Some kind of long flexible razor blade? Quote
Atlas Rush Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Correct, a clay blade, it's used to model clay shapes before it becomes solid Quote
