O/clocking Q6600

Featured Replies

Hi all,

could anybody suggest a complete set of BIOS settings to o/clock my comp?

I've tried tweaking the BIOS but I can't get the CPU o/clocked and I'm not familiar with voltages/bus speeds etc. and the more technical side of things-I'm a little worried about damaging my hardware if I play with these settings.

I've also tried EasyTune 6 and all it does is cause my comp to crash and I have to reset BIOS settings to default in order to get it to boot again.

Below are my comp specs.

Motherboard: GA-EP45T-UD3P v1.0

CPU: Intel Core2 Q6600 2.4 GHz

RAM: G.Skill DDR3 1333 7-7-7-18 1.6v (2x2Gb installed)

BIOS: F7

COOLING: Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME

HDD: 2 x 500Gb Hitachi SATA II (setup as RAID)

Power Supply: Coolermaster 500W

Graphics: Gigabyte HD4670 512Mb DDR3 Video Card

OS: Vista x64 SP2

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
