Im having problems with my oc.

I cant boot my system over 250FSB.

When i put the FSB on 255Mhz the system dosnt boot.

I tried 3 multipliers memory 5:4 ,3:2 and 1:1 and with none of them it doesnt work.

I tried to put higher voltage (i tried even 1,76 V) and it booted but it crashed when i started playing COD2 for test.

So can any1 help me?

What should i do,or is this my max oc.

The MB is Gigabyte 8IPE 1000 Pro rev 2.

which kind of cooling do you use Emperor ?

If you got good enough cooling, it can be vdroop stopping ya, or bad cpu stepping..

I've got a Pentium 4 Northwood 2, 2.4 GHz (533 fsb) which can't go higher than 3060 mhz using watercooling that can get my C2D up to 4 ghz,

My board is a P4C800-E Deluxe, which vdroops 0.1V.. I've lent it to Nosfer@tu to vmod it, and then I will try again to see of it helps to higher oc, or i'll just have to satisfy with, that i've got a lousy cpu stepping.. heh =)

Edit: is it a Northwood C or a Prescott ? and which stepping, or take a CPU-z screenshot and post it ^^

I dont think it is the cooling,i got a Zalman 7000Alcu and it is the same thing as with the stock.

It is around 32°C under load in Super Pi.

My board is Gigabyte 8IPE1000.

Ok and vdrop is when the voltage variates under load?

Yes this happens to me also.

Here is the CPU-z data.

Is there any good guide for vmod?

Sounds wierd, I couldn't even keep my Northwood B 2,4 ghz cold enough to be stable at 3 ghz.. have to goto work now.. will look more into it, when I get home again
