  1. The same can be said about the Core 2 Extreme X6800 and their ES's, the retails were better, only difference being it wasn't illegal or that much of a risk to buy a perfectly legal and backed by a warranty chip :P

What's unique in this case is... the gap that separates the retail and the ES processors this time.

With the 670 ES & retails ( where the ESs are once again better ) the difference isn't that big, yet if you want a top spot you need an ES again.

But the gap between the 980X retail and 980X ESs is abysmal.

We're talking about several hundreds of MHz.

    Pi 1M ? 6745MHz vs 6153MHz

    Pi 32M ? 6587MHz vs 6091MHz

    3D Mark06 ? 6358MHz vs 6089MHz

    3D Mark Vantage ? 6090MHz vs 5700ish MHz

    AquaMark 3 ? 6485MHz vs 6161MHz

No, because I don't want to spend stupid money to hand pick retail again.:) If I did it again, you guys are gone again. Right?:) I just feel very unfair what you guys don't do the same thing before, but do it right now because you guys cannot match these es cpus score.

  2. Sorry, I didn't see anyone mentioning your name Andre.

What you said is partially true though.

You have or had results posted with a processor that you didn't pay for yourself or belonged to you.

I totally understood what you mean, BZ. I just want to point a lot of people paid a lot of money for nice hw to get top results. They don't really care the hw are es or retail.

You know how much I spend for retail to beat these ES. Why should I change my mind now? Because no one cares about that and no one wants to help me to piss es off before. OK, I gave up retail and start to bench ES because you guys don't care about anything before. Why did you guys complain about es now? Is it fair for me before?

  3. Let's turn benching in "We go to Asus's HQ, test 20 Q3FE's find the best one and publish various scores with it".

Soon some people will be running 980X ESs @ 6.5GHz Vantage and the ones with or without money will be forced to running Vantage at... 5.6 or 5.8GHz at best...

Guess we can tell people to go buy 50 illegal ES's from ebay if they want to have a chance at competing...

No, I paid a lot of money for these es cpus.:)

  4. I am not saying any bad words for you. I have the same problem before. Hwbot remove the points with one sec and you guys can hold all points until some complaining. Rule is "unrelease hardware" whcih include NDA, non-retail etc....All hwbot crew should know it more than me. This mobo is still non-retail. It 100% should NOT get any points before you submit it. Please tell me why you dont know this rule as you are a hwbot crew.

  5. No Andre he's not talking about OVP ( obviously you misread that :D ), he wants the OCP ( OverCurrent Protection ) mod.

OCP should be kicking in at around 1.15GHz GPU regardless of the voltage applied to the GPU ( I could be wrong, I haven't tried any 5870 on LN2 yet )

    none..........

1.3G gpu should not have any problem with 1.49V, so many guys done it already.

  6. what's NDA? lol

I never sign any shi(t) NDA from Intel. New tech hardware doesn't have any point for hwbot. What's your point here? So many guys show off WR with unrelease hardware and submit it before. Did you say something about them before? Some guys submit Mars score before they are available. Did you post something about them?

I don't mind if hwbot wants to remove new tech score. It's not really a big deal for me.

  7. I disagree completely

From The Overclocker magazine, Rule No.1:

All kit must be retail spec and must be on sale by the end of each month.

Did you mis-word the rule? The rule was adjusted to "pre-order" and "following month" AFTER the questionable result was made known (to the public anyway.)

Apparently these boards are now shipping, or a small batch was shipped. Ironically, the only person whos been able to show a shipping receipt is a man who had ES to play with.

Was the inclusion of not released hardware requested in advance of a score, or as an afterthought? Was the clearance given, knowing what the score+ hardware was? Did all the competitors and companies know in advance?

Changing the wording of a rule can change the rule. What you meant to say might not have changed, but how did everyone respond to the first revision of the rule and how did everyone react to the alteration?

    Appearances are everything, Nick.

I disagree with one point. Some guys receive mobos and gtx285s, not only me. Please check evga fourms. There are some pcs there. I can also show you full of retail boxes if you want. I help my Taiwanese friend order this mobo. My ES is from Taiwan EVGA. Why should I show you tracking number from EVGA USA?

  8. Say what you want about how your benching Andre. We all know the deal...and its not just you dude its a lot of people submitting scores in that manner.

I think this is all smoke and mirrors anyway. The only time you can rule out any foul play is in a public bench session with retail hardware. As I stated before I know a buddy at Intel and Had the i7 965 D0 for myself and for sale to the public before anyone except Fugger even saw one. Fuggers chip was coded 975 only because he gets them from Intel to boast about them on his website.

the people who have the special hardware will hold the records.......FACT.

Also why are you defending yourself so bad???? If it is not true what people think then just let it go..Why the posts, why all the photos, why you trying so hard to convince people what a few think is not true???...The way you keep going on and on and on its almost like your admitting some kind of guilt here

You oc for your business, but I oc for funny. You never know how much I spend on cpu and hardware per year.

I spend a lot of money for what? Yes, for some best cpus and funny. I don't accept some guys just say it's unfair or cheat. It's my money. so what? What's the point I cannot sell good cpu to my Taiwan friend to beat some guys. And you? You just pm to every overclocker when they breask your records. What's your point for pms? only want to show up no one can beat you?

  9. I'm not singling you out Andre, calling somebody a cheater is a serious accusation and without proper proof is easy to throw around;

it's pretty clear Hilpro doesn't grasp the "hardware sharing" rules at HWbot, even though he has made very personal contact with them

How many times hipro5 call some ocers are cheaters? How many chances should we get to hipro5 to say that? This is not first time hipro5 say that. Can you promise no next time? I don't believe him for sure.
