  1. you should look under sensor tab of gpu-z during load what boost you get.

just load it with the "?" on gpu-z and change to sensor tab.

the boost on first page of gpu-z is normally not the final boost.

i start with core clock and leave the rest like power target+++ everything else stock.

then run something like heaven with gpu-z in background and compare max boost clock on sensor tab.

if its same boost as before then you will not need to put power or temp limit higher.

for example mine says on 1st page boost 1241mhz but in sensor tab 1366mhz.

so if i push core +150mhz i am at 1510 boost

  2. You can oc with multiplier at 6700k, if you have decent cooling you can go for 45x and set vcore to around 1,3v, then do some stability tests with prime, Linx or xtu for the start if you can enter windows at these settings. If it works, lower vcore and try again until you found lowest possible vcore stable. I guess this would be a good start, no need to mess with memory settings at first for example

I've set my core voltage to 1.275 with a multiplier of 45 ... Getting a good stable overclock At 4.5ghz ... Been running prime 95 for a few hours now and temps sitting Nicely at 61 degrees and passing tests fine , going to leave this on for a good while .. Really happy with the temps ... What have people got out of the 6700k ?? I have a cryorig r1 universal so it's doing a really good job at keeping it low !!!

  3. they normally all top out around 1450 to 1550 mhz with stock volts.

use gpu-z and look how high your boost goes under load.

these are what i am getting under load on heaven benchmark, what do you suggest...it seems to be running stable at this..at 170 is was crashing display driver so i lowered it to 150...

thanks mate ill give them a go tonight at those settings, take a look in GPU overclocking , i have a post in there mate regarding overclocking my gpu, if you could help would be great, kind of new to this and dont wanna mess anything up lol

what settings would you recommend i start with for the following..

    GPU POWER TARGET ...

    GPU TEMP TARGET ...

    GPU CLOCK OFFSET..

    MEM CLOCK OFFSET...

im not too bothered about pushing it further with voltage change. would like a stable overclock with stock voltage

    thanks

i was acheiving 1498mhz and heaven benchmark was fully finishing and giving me a score of

    3294

    Max fps : 273.1

    min fps : 35.8

the problem wasnt occuring during the bench, funnily enough was when my pc was at idle on screensaver...strange

  7. Hi, new to this overclock game just built myself a new machine

    CPU : 6700k

GPU : evga gtx 980 ti sc edition

    MB : MSI gaming m7

    Cooler : cryorig r1 universal

could someone point me in right direction for a good overclock on this card, I know every card is different, but what would be the best place to start CORE/Memory ..

using the heaven benchmark.. ive had my clocks at this..but its slightly unstable..its like the pc goes into sleep mode black screen..

    GPU clock offset - 175mhz

    MEM clock offset - 400mhz

    using evga precision x software

    thanks
