So you can add 500mhz with pll on.... i don´t know if is for all cpu´s but for all I teste is normal this (arround 20)!
my finding are more like you did, a good chip will boot at 5GHZ on interal pll off. if it needs it above 4800 its a x53 likely

and sometimes max multi depends on bios version and cpu too. i had a 5.9GHz cpu that boot OS max at x57 on m4e with 1303bios' date=' but with 1902bios x58 & x59 works too. and another 5.9GHz cpu works fine at all multis with both bioses[/quote']
well mine tried to enter win at x57 x58 on 1204 the first time i tried, then i put bios 1850 and went to x56 only max
1902 is really bad for me

andre, if that was on cold...they might be 57x or 58x

but i doubt that a SB will up multi on cold, arent they walled easy like the method mentioned here ? or you meant to keep testing same batches to get x57 x58 ?

i would try one
its prime stable on water at 5GHz HT with 2x4GB 2133 9-11-10-28 trfc 108 RAM and 2 GTX580's OC'd in SLI at 1,44 LOAD max temp 68C IDLES on 29-30C ambient is 22C and 14C outside
some things never change the more GB or RAM and tighter the more vcore u need, as on 2x2 it does the same on 1,428 LOAD
