  1. If it's on a hyperthreaded machine, this is to be expected, to compensate, increase the number of threads to 5 for a single core, 2 thread chip, or 10 for a dual core 4 thread chip.

If it's on a multithreaded system with sync'd clockrates for each core, then wPrime didn't sync it's threads properly, press ~, type initthread <enter>, then type gui <enter> and try again.

In fact, this might be an explanation for the difference in speed between different versions. Will post some results shortly.

    Standard Sync: http://wprime.net/score.cgi?id=14532 (CPU @ 2.8GHz)

    Sync 2: http://wprime.net/score.cgi?id=14533 (no change...)

Sync 4: http://wprime.net/score.cgi?id=14534 (ok its not that)

Threads were in sync already though (even in the standard syncing). Maybe the single syncing isn't enough for quad threaded systems, but its enough for my little dual threaded box. Anyways, try the above, if its a sync problem then that should fix it.

  2. wPrime just uploads the string from CPUz, the only thing I can suggest is adding in each CPU based on the CPUz string each time it gets it wrong (or can't find a match).

Btw, my U2500 doesn't get recognized.

Can I not be a kitchen robot? I want to be one of those automated toilet cleaners.

  3. My 9800se.

256bit bus, unlocked perfectly to 8 pipelines. Core got mutiliated by mounting a waterblock on it's naked core. After that it artifacted all the time but somehow (back on air cooling) managed 20MHz higher on the core. Did 470/400 on air iirc.

Still highest 9800se on 3dmark03 - non FM approved 'cause was using Omega's to unlock the extra 4 pies.

    My Mushkin Level 2 3500's.

Best 512MB bh5s I've ever owned. Did 289MHz with them.

    My Dothan 740.

When I finally decide to drift away from the dothan (as in ct-479 dothan), I buy a laptop with a dothan in, and just to test I try the chip, and she does 3GHz on an unmodded adaptor! Around 400MHz more than the average dothan I had prior.

My Celeron 300A - 'nuff said
