  1. I fell in love So easy to bench with this pot
  2. Finally got Critical point ES (Flash point) to test. Retail version will be out soon. It works very well!
  3. Sick score Andre! You will be missed in OC scene. Good luck to your future.
  4. Great run Alex and thank you about the feedback. I appreciate that! Well, I propably should do some testing as well. Next I need to find efficiency with some tweaking I think some real spi 32m fanatics can tweak their platform really well with this kit as now you can go as low as -180C° on the memory chips.
  5. It was 55 x 104.5. Fixed it now. All other info seems to be correct, except that 130mhz bclk.. which gives you that false 55 x 130 = 7.15Ghz result
  6. Here is one score with 4670K. Not so impressive, even XTU tried to tell me, that CPU speed is 7.15GHz http://hwbot.org/submission/2405633_sf3d_xtu_core_i5_4670k_1278_marks?recalculate=true
  7. I drove Pepi, Max and Michal to hotel last night. I hope they did not meat each other too much Weather is getting a lot better now and only few hours until Russian legends are here. Then it is party time
  8. Sure! It will be fun! Just picked up the beer.. 120 cans should be enough for Friday
  9. Hi all! I posted this thread directly on off topic section, cause whole event have been like that every time since 2008 It is meant to be OC gathering, but usually it have been just awesome weekend with good friends! This year won't do any difference, I think! People who take part are (Nicknames): Neoforce, Slamms, Smoke, Tiborr, Xtreme Addict, Pepinorang, Giorgioprimo, Mean Machine, Asmola, Macci and me SF3D. So, on Friday we will go here to relax (Beer, Vodka and Sauna): Saturday is bench day and we have plenty of 4770K's, VGA's and some secret hardware to bench. After benching we will head to City festival in Tampere to look how we party in Finland. Weather won't be good this year, but I think it doesn't matter that much We will keep you informed how it goes here! (LN2 and Food will be delivered by Jimm's PC store!)
  10. Sure I have, but there is nothing more to add..the info on validation file show all the same? http://sf3d.pp.fi/images/Intel%20Core%20i7%204770K/xtu%201514.png
  11. Thanks all! This was short session, so we will see some improvements for sure in next weekends OC gathering
  12. Great videos Vivi! Will post them on SF3D OC fb site soon. Please all users, remember that you still need to use some sort of insulation around the mounting mechanism. Depending on humidity and other factors you will get some water around parts when you go below -100C. That can be avoided pretty easily by using simple insulation like this: Over there I have heating element next to motherboard PCB. 10mm armaflex sheet cutted to similar shape as mounting base. Then I usually wrap one layer of insulation tape around the mounting part (No need to attach) and use thick insulation around the aluminum extension part. This way you can bench hours and hours without worries of water. Please remember that mounting creates airtight pocket for CPU, so there is no chance to get water over there. Extra insulation will just prevent water sliding down the pot to PWM or other critical components on motherboard. Memory pot is another story and over there I suggest to use maximum insulation on motherboard and around the pot. The plates transfer cold very effectively so your motherboard will be quite frosty in a minutes Latest ASRock OC Formula with coating is great idea as it takes a lot of stress away from your extreme oc sessions.
  13. When you submit winning score, remember to do correct winners dance in the validation video I just feel lucky, that I did not bother myself with this competition. This could have gone better..just saying
  14. Yeah, I was wrong. On those videos we can clearly see what happens and that layer of gas stay just above the water. Crazy people who planned that. Actually dry ice would have been better, cause then people would have felt the low amount of oxygen and maybe react faster. Breathing pure nitrogen does not give any warnings. Well, we should respect that stuff when we mess around in live shows etc. So many ways to hurt people around table
  15. Stupid media and wrong infromation I am 100% sure that they did not use LN2 over there. They must have used dry ice and when you throw 30 kg of that on the pool, you will definitely have a layer of carbon dioxide over the water and you will pass out. Even small amount of that gas is dangerous as you can see how little amount of that is normally on atmosphere: 78% is nitrogen gas and when you pour 1000 liters of LN2 in the pool you still won't have any issues. (Execpt if you are in the contact with Ln2 of course )
  16. Yes, but we are old dogs.. not new people and we are not making it any more entertaining. We are just whining Answer the questions please.
  17. Pieter, let's get back to square one. New league was meant to bring new people in to extreme OC and make it more entertaining. I have been trying to do the same in Finland without success long time. If you would get money prizes and free hardware for contestants, it would probably get some air under wings in some point. But we know that won't happen as it is easier to dominate everything with few HQ persons. After first round we see, that the situation is exactly the same as in your example from Corsair competition. Few people dominate the competition and now when there is some talk about ES cpu's it is whining. A0 gulftown fiasco made many people angry, so "more than allowed" does not really fit in to the idea of new league. If you continue this way, it is exactly same as before and what is the point on that. I just feel this conversation does not lead to anything really. There is this really small group of people who dominate oc scene and even smaller group who are deciding how things should go. I was years in hwbot crew and last year my opinions were as effective as these forum posts. If you all think that I am whining, I am fine with that. P.S Kenny, yeah I know what you mean. Giving it a chance is what we did in first round. It does not seem to evolve or go in to better direction. It does not solve issues what OC scene have and so on...
  18. Haha..what the F.. is wrong with this scene? We have new league which should bring new people in to OC.. how many new persons have joined and are in the game seriously. How much have HWbot visitor amounts raised and how many more facebook posts there are about top overclocking scores. Yes, you all know the answer. This hobby is so tiny that this kind of league is just a waste of time for overclockers. This new league might be good thing someday when completely new generation of overclockers have grown in to it. For me this whole thing is just a huge pile of crap and I think this was it.
  19. Word PRO does not directly mean that ES samples are allowed. In old PRO OC league ES samples were allowed as that was meant to be completely open field for world records without limitations. Now we have this best league ever which should bring new people in to overclocking and be more interesting than nothing else before, so is ES really the best way to go? Pro gaming is huge nowadays and there is several reasons for that. OC can never compete with it, that is a fact. Idea of this league was to make overclocking more popular and interesting or make it as large as possible in other words. If you allow ES samples it would be same as pro gamer could use godmode in games while competing "hey, there are no walls at all". I have been talking this same kind of league crap year after year in here and it never makes any difference
  20. We would not show any pictures if it would not work
  21. Thanks for writing this. You save my time
