Probably you will need do the mod on CPU, shorting some pins and blocking some others. I may say the reference mod for APEX would work on any Maximus, because seems to be similar in that area, need confirmation.

I do have some questions about the mod. Ive been using this mod for a couple of months, no issues at all... So the question is, I could use metallic pens with silver based for tracing the "wiremod" close to the pcie? It will be enough current to just do the job? Because its easier, cleaner to do, later we can apply some nail polish over for protection. oh, my old comment in this post I was complaining about losing performance from OC in RAm, I just figure out it was the thirds timmings which are too loose.

Im getting some strage behavior in R15 bench. 8700K @ 5ghz is to do about 1630+ score, right? depending on memory clock and some minor tweaks. When I do rise my memory clock over 3600 to 4000mhz CL18-18-18 * XPG D60G 3600mhz CL17 kits, they are b-die samsung* Im getting WORSE cpu score. Even now with clear cmos and re-setting the OC + XMP im not getting 1600+ score. APEX IX @ 370 with 2003 bios. Im getting about 100 points less 1530+-

If something goes wrong with the bios update, the second bios is protected right? Only is able to update the second one if I do manually switching the bios?

The wiremod close to the pcie slots, need to be that long or could be smaller? I just want to make it more discreet.
