yea comfirm ,test (2666C10) and for sure (mem in slot 3&4....otherwise won't boot):
Samsungs = slew 4
(not as advertised 2-3...)
....with manual setting
tWL...8
tRRD...6-7
-
I just say same as Beier (not all) ,.....thanks to Hicookie,to start this thread.
I try today again F12e for UP5......just didn't "go" as F12c.....boot only once with slew 4 with samsung to 2666....wtf.
Edit:
I must make a "Video" and send to relevant GB people.........again....
It's so hard to adjust BIOS for memory as Asus or Asrock?

F5n: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/66364457/Gigabyte%20UP7%20bios/z77xup7F5N.zip
it is F5m(which is f5j but with higher vcore) with fixed ddr multi
It's different then Leeghoofd post few hours ago?
-
Seems that Z77 BIOS start from begging again..........
Beier is right, as he noted that Hicookie now be must involved to clear all this.......sh??.

can you set manual tRP 8, vdimm 1.65v other timings like I mentioned at first page
CR 2? is CMD you talk?
Manual,no problem (XMP wrong)...yea CMD.
btw, same report send to Dino,Colin and Sin long time ago.
Only right CMD (1) with XMP ,I had with BIOS F6x for UP5.
are you mean, after you change the slot with your memory, then the voltage can be adjusted with F5m?This is my observation (and it's works) with D3H and UP5.
Sometime clear CMOS also help.
-
P67/Z68 is OK,
only Z77 series...... XMP set tRP to 13 and CR to 2.
I check with every owner who has 2133 8-9-8 and all report same.
http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?p=183322&postcount=26
What about XMP set Vdimm to 1.680V (or 1.668V) ?
-
the kit is 2133 8-9-8, what related to tCL7?
yea, XMP set 8-9-13.
-
what's your Ripjaw X.M.P? which model?
Hi Cookie,
F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD (BBSE) also wrong XMP (tRP and CR):
-
If I have default Vdimm 1.524V in BIOS "MIT Current Status"......dram voltage didn't work (ET6 and GTL show crazy numbers).
Exchange two stick in the same channel (or sometime different) and getting default Vdimm 1.536V in BIOS MIT section......dram voltage work OK.
This also happen on my first board Z77X-D3H since first days.
-
Better remove it asap Stasio
I am also human........
-
Edit to my first post........
placing memory near to CPU socket (DDR3 3 & 4) give less code 51.
One more thing is interesting.......replacing the memory sticks also help.....?!
Just 2 days ago trying my TeamX 2600c10 @ 2700 in slots 1 & 2......(boot only twice with 10 try)....51
slots 3 & 4 no problem......
cant change memory freq with F5m. dram voltage stays 1.5 regardless of bios setting. it seems there is alot wrong with this bios release. looks alot like f5f as the bug in dram ref voltage shows weird value instead of auto.
leggy, id skip this one. many things wrong (but please do test to see if you getting same results)
still wanting/waiting for a good oc bios with sku and enough things that work to bench with for some 32m fun. dino, hicookie, massman, anybody? id be willing to try "test" bios just for fun id send an in and out tshirt to match the lanyard *wink wink* for a good ln2 bios.
You are right......I am with UP5 back on F12c BIOS......F12e give me only headache.
And another 4 months Z87 coming.........!?
-
on a side note... i have been manually setting vtt + imc with the xmp. xmp wants to put vtt at 1.3something. im not too comfortable with that and set 1.2vtt 1.15 imc. chip is capable of 2800 with this kit on "other" boards with these volts.
In reality,
XMP set Vdimm to 1.680V (UP7,UP5,...) and some Z77 boards to 1.668V, but never 1.650V ,Vtt and IMC are always set to default.
Also my TeamX 2600C10 XMP set CMD to 2 instead 1.

F15M? For the UP7?
Leeghoofd, have you tried it on the UP7?
Wrong typing......F5m is out.
-
