I have a 550w Fortron PSU... been fine with all the setup's I've used, even SLI 7900GS's.

I go with whatever offers the best Bang for my Bucks. Recently its been Intels though, the last 5 CPU's I've owned have been Intel's (Core Duo T2600, Core 2 Duo T7200, E6400, E6600, E6700). Currently using an E6400 because I sold my E6600 and E6700. Before Core Duo's I had been with AMD's for years.
