  1. I know at least 5. That's more women than Kiwis :D.

Anyways, you don't have to be a mathematician to see the common trend here. Well, at least I tried.

You know 5 women that post on these forums every day ?

    Go on, name them :P:D

I just don't get where you are coming from, there is nothing, zip, zero stopping anyone taking part in almost any comp anywhere (please no one bring up money)

If anything, your thread makes out they are not as good, and would need a free ride. Don't you think thats insulting and incorrect all at the same time.

Why divide up qualifiers based on geographical location when skill must be the only pre-requisite? I mean, if all the top overclockers live in Europe, why bother having US or Asian competitors?

Do you read your own site.

13 out of the top 20 (and the top two for that matter) are not in Europe

    http://hwbot.org/rankings/overclocker/worldwide

  2. I dunno. Kinda started this thread to find out what women want ().

Sure you did, keep telling yourself that :P

So tell me again, how many women post on these forums every day ?

Now take that number of zero and tell me how a thread here was ever going to tell you what women want ?

All things aside, I think it's quite strange that people are in favor of positive discrimination based on geographical location ("there must be Australian qualifier") and positive discrimination based on financial possibilities ("make it possible for everyone to compete in online qualifier"), but are suddenly heavily opposed to any discrimination based on gender.

    What's the difference?

For one, you still need to win your qualifier, be you man or woman. There is nothing stopping anyone based on gender.

  3. I'm pretty sure at least some Team Pure members are and will be more angry at me anytime soon, but it's not my fault, I'm not the one who did stupid things.

By the way, I have nothing against Pure as a team and of course nothing against Vince or some of their members, but I do have quite a lot of things against some of their members.

Those who think that I'm working on a personal agenda, just wait & see.

    On topic now Hyperhorn...

Three names ( maybe there's more to it, I need to do some more google-cache-digging & proof ):

    Andre, Nick, Jody.

    Bill,

You obviously know far, far more than me, and I'm a member of Pure.

If you can show me right now (you must have something or you are all BS) where Andre, Nick and Jody are cheating on Hwbot.

I don't want to see cheating going on as much as the next guy, in my team or others.

If anyone is angry at you, it is your fault, you are calling members cheats yet post no proof.

Link me to the scores in the database that are cheated now, no more BS...show me the proof.

  4. Still under discussion

    *Allow UFL-members to support a team ?

Wow, with the two things above, why would anyone want to list themself as UFL.

I can see this becoming bigger than any hardware sharing accusations.

    It will be..

"he shouldn't be in XOL, he should be in UFL"

  5. Do I read this right...

Participants of this league can still join online/live competitions, however will not be eligible for receiving prizes

If you see yourself as UFL

Hwbot is some how going to stop you from taking the prize home if you win first place in a live comp....ie: MOA, GOOC. Run by and paid for from someone other than hwbot, ie: MSI and Gigabyte

Also on that note, part of the prize is flights etc to the finals.

  6. Hey masseyman

You can only be in one of the three leagues....yes/no

No matter what league you're in, you are part of the leader board.....yes/no

Hardware points that count to your total is going up from 300...yes/no

If yes, by how much are you thinking ?

Only best Global scores out of all team members helps the Team.

But does all the hardware scores help the team. ie: team has five of the top ten scores with a 7900GTX in 3D03. Do all five scores count to the team total......yes/no

  7. A pro overclocker can be any of the above, as the document states that anyone can choose to be in the pro league. We do not choose who is pro(*) and who not. If you consider yourself pro, fine, but you will have to battle "the big guys" in order to be on top.

(*) we do recommend to be in the top 50 amateur league before switching to pro, otherwise any john do would be able to say he is pro.

    This I don't understand.

Hwbot is separating into two leagues, yet you will not say who is or is not a "pro"

If someone like BenchZowner who gets more than I (we talked about it in the open on another forum) see's himself as an amateur, but most would put me in pro, how does that make it anymore fair for the "I get nothing members"

The guy in the post above this one, sounds like he gets a boat load more than most, a hell of alot more than me. Yet by reading his post I'm left with the idea he would put himself in the amateur league.

I have never had binned hardware sent to me, the only hardware that I receive at home is untested retail for review or the likes.

And have never received anything from AMD or Intel.

Yet reading all this, I (as most would) class myself as pro.

I get the feeling that some/lots of members think that there are lots of sponsored guys out there that get anything they ask for, for free. Be it ln2, cpu's (even binned ones) motherboards and gpu's. Hell they may even be being paid.

Which as the staff here would know, it's just not that case.

So unless you make it, anything free = pro

What will change, for the "I get nothing, it's not fair members" ?

What I can see is even more BS threads down the road as someone say X shouldn't be in the amateur league

By the by, In the way "sponsored" is used, do we even have 5 members that fit that bill ?

But there is a lot (ie: motherboards) that get them for "review" and then bench them hard out on the bot. I for one do just that. This is why I see myself as pro, even though I'll never get a free cpu from intel/AMD.

I can see and understand what you're trying to do, but unless the change stops all the BS over who gets what, whats the point, when many that voted are down the ranks and anyone that gets a motherboard for review looks sponsored to them.

  8. I'm quite sure people will start saying "I don't have a camera or web camera" ( I LOL especially at the latter part of the excuse )... but it's one of the things that can be done irl.

Well to give you a good laugh...

    I don't have a web camera.

    I mean that, I really, really don't :o

Camera, yes. Video my benching, sure do it all the time...easy.

But 99% of my online benching friends live in other time zones, so what good is a web camera to me.
