5th 4790k: L420B770 i have bios stock vid 1.008v and on stock on cpu-z@4.4ghz under load i have 1.136v for now on water: 4.5ghz@1.12v wprime 1024M temps max 55/52/55/50 4.6ghz@1.12v wprime 1024m temps max 56/53/55/51 4.7ghz@1.14v wprime 1024m temps max 58/56/58/52 4.8ghz@1.18v wprime 1024m temps max 62/60/62/57 4.9ghz@1.25v wprime 1024m temps max 71/69/71/64 with errors after 4.8 ghz wprime starts to give thread errors and stuff.i need more time to tweak and need to find other testing program. i dont know why with all 4790k after 4.8 its huge increase of voltage,i think is windows 7.maybe i'll try on 8.1 couldnt run cinebench at 5ghz@1.4v,freezes.i need more time to tweak.

omg omg what a situation. bought 4th 4790k L420B732 from hardwareversand.de and it was already binned. the box was intact but the cpu in the plastick box was rotaded 90 degrees against clock,and had cooler signs. well....what shoud i had to do....tested and it does 4.7@1.25 4.8@1.3 4.9@1.4 no go freezes what a bunnyextractionty situation. i'm building my phase change but can't get a good cpu...... i called them,and they sed to send it back,and next time i order they sed that will be brand new.yep,sure...hope so

it's the same vid on bios with/without turbo,just to read on giga mobos u need to disable turbo.

u need to disable turbo on gigabyte mobos to see true vid on z97.

my 3rd 4790k is L420B831 does only 4.8@1.35 wprime 1024m on water...exact like my 2nd. bios vid at stock 1.064, stock under load cpuz shows 1.216v. big shit..

already know that site for comparison.12 euro still cheaper than 15 euro here in italy and they need 3/4 days before shipping.on german site bought my mobo at 4 pm and at 9pm my mobo already flying to italy,this thing is priceless.

what can i tell you(my opinion if ur looking for 5ghz,but most 4790k do 4.8 without problems if interested) is to send back ur cpu,cuz L420B7xx are bad (most of them) i mean bad not reaching 5ghz,but you can be lucky and maybe is a 5 ghz but is a very small % that can be good. yes,the results above are from my 2nd chip which is L420B765.1st chip was L331C518 and did 4.7@1.2v only, no more scaling.L means malaysia,3 means year which is 2013, 31 means week 31 from 2013. all bought from the shop that a user posted above.

what's vid on bios at full stock ? lowest i saw is 1.04v. a 5 ghz 4770k had 1.0/1.01v,with 4790k 5ghz is enought 1.04v. wondering what a 4790k with a 1.0/1.01v vid can do.

tomorrow i receive my second and last 4790k.i'm done with this haswell bunnyextraction another bunnyextraction 4790k L420B765 stock vid 1.08v and turbo was only 4.2 ghz@1.13v, i enhanced turbo and goes 4.4ghz@1.2v can do only this on water with Phobya G-Changer 360 V2 Radiator. wprime 2.10 /c states disabled/ only vcore and /vccin 2.0v 4.5Ghz@1.19v 1024m temps max 61/61/63/58 4.6Ghz@1.19v 1024m temps max 62/61/64/59 4.7Ghz@1.23v 1024m temps max 67/67/69/64 4.8Ghz@1.28v 1024m temps max 70/72/75/66 4.9ghz@1.42v crashes around 30% with temps on 92 on highest core

if i get a 4790k that does 5 ghz 1.25/1.3v and presumably it scales on cold what max frequency can i achieve around -40/-50ºC with a phase change that can deal around 400w?
