It would be awesome if this was updated in the rules sooner rather than later. If it was already done, thanks!Small note: from this round forward it's no longer allowed to use Xeon CPUs in the Rookie Rumble. Also, we will be checking for double accounts more closely. -
Is any staff going to respond to this??????? At least acknowledge it? Its been 11 days...

SOLD at another site... closing thread.

Did not try 2c/2t or 3D on this under LN2.

Title says it all men...
Due to my own stupidity My validation is 6.4xxGHz, but ran 32M at 6.514GHz. This is likely at least a 6.6GHz+ CPU validation chip.
32M - http://hwbot.org/submission/2372913_jas420221_superpi___32m_core_i7_3770k_5min_10sec_844ms
$350 Shipped to US... overseas will be a bit more...
Heatware is flawless (143-0).

Thanks!
I have been silently hunting your scores... . Second to all of them sadly!

Profiles.
Each benchmark we run has a different screen size and therefore a different location where one may place the benchmark application on the screen to fit CPUz/GPUz. For example, if I put Super Pi in the upper right hand corner, it will look a lot different (as far as where I put the CPuz screens) than say Vantage which is huge compared to Super Pi so a single 'profile' wouldnt be enough. So if you can save and label the config you can just select the profile and voila!
EXCELLENT app and thank you Wizz!

Uninstall Eleet and you should gain multi control back via bios.

Mine stopped at 5.3Ghz under DI, but the board hard locked after that and time was running out so I had to stop. That CPU will get cold again under a proper pot this time (so I can actually tweak and not shovel snow). I will report back.TURN&BURN 5.8ghz batch # 3133B433Earthdog has the same batch.

Among other problems...Will try this tonight. Anyone else had issues with the EVGA X79 boards, BIOSes 28 and 29? Turbo or/and memory issues?Edit: From the EVGA Forums, Jacob_F:
We found an issue related to S4 resume, as a precautionary we have pulled the update for now and recommend using BIOS 29 for now.
Even with bios 30 (all power saving disabled)
Memory will not go over 1600Mhz (DDR3 2133Mhz 1.65v stock, works on UD7)
debug 67 code, HARD lock (requires reflash or removing memory to one stick then reset CMOS) when increasing memory speeds past 1600Mhz
Memory timings will not save OR if they do it doesnt save properly (X-Y-X-ZZ saves as X-X-Y-ZZ)
Turbo multi options for each core disappears after bios save (only to come back with reflash)
I contacted Jacob, and they are working on it.

Did I miss this 6A reboot loop or something? It seems everytime I hit the multi wall (54x I found) I drop in to this deep 6A boot loop that it seems only time can get it out of... Still on 4d...ud7 is going on the shelf for a bit I think.

Nice run... I still havent tried 1.25x yet... Any changes from F4d to F4?
-
Some nice scores have been posted. I wont be able to rerun as the MSI board is gone now... oh well.
-
Sum of a... Oh well. We will see what they can do next week.
Maybe I have 2 54x.
-
Im betting the latter sadly... Luck is rarely with me... Looking forward to see if known chips exhibit the same behavior on UD7. I will be going cold (Dry Ice) with these 12/21 so I will see then.
Dear baby jebus... please let this method work for the UD7 and me be extremely lucky... PLEASE!!!!!
It did exhibit the same behaviors you described as far as not resetting and needing POR.
-
That's with ud7....
-
I sure hope its correct. 57x no go, 56x... reset. Now I hope to get this one chilly soon.
EDIT: 2 56x chips with this method.
Under a terribly outpowered SS (Barely kept it at 0C at idle!!), I boot 52x and knocked out a quick Wprime 32M which then took the temps to 30C... LOL so I stopped, since Im not insulated at all.....

I like this as well.. nice thinking! To reduce sandbagging, you could set up the monthly challenges to be closed randomly at any time during the last three days of the month. If nobody knows precisely when the contest will end, it will encourage them to get their score in before the random closure period begins (e.g., before the 29th of this month) - otherwise they run the risk of having the contest close before they submit. Just a suggestion. I support your initiative, though, Massman - sandbagging seems very anti-competitive and unsportsmanlike to me.
