  1. Unfortunately I may not be able to participate in this rumble as I have to study for exams. Although I may be able to squeeze overclocking into my thermodynamics and heating and cooling physics study Good luck to everyone!
  2. I'm developing a platform where a system compresses and expands coolant in sort of the same way a refrigerator works. I have designed it so it can be mounted directly on the heatsink under the fan or before the intake fans of the case after being filtered through a package that strips air of its humidity. I was wondering if this would still be considered air cooling? Also I was thinking of experimenting with the same two systems except instead of refrigeration cooling, I am going to use a sealed endothermic reaction between two chemicals, hint: one of them is water . Is this also technically air cooling?
  3. ryofatal1ty I was looking at your verification screenshot for the HWBOT prime mark and I noticed you only had one cpu-z window with your mobo info on it. In future I suggest you get screenshots with 3 cpu-z windows open with one on cpu, one on mainboard and one on memory as not doing this may result in a blocked submission.
  4. I did my hwbot prime bench on 2 cores but when I uploaded it to hwbot, it automatically thought I was doing it on 8
  5. Anyone know who I can contact to get my hwbot score changed?
  6. Im using Version 7 update 67 (build 1.7.0_67-b01). It is only detecting 4 out of my 8gb of ram, would this affect performance?
  7. I can honestly say im not getting good hwbot marks at all. I'm at 5.3 GHz with slightly overclocked ram at 2000 MHz and im only getting 6600 (825 per core) marks. Anyone got any advice? Also having trouble beating that RAM speed junkdog, good work
  8. Welcome to hwbot bocahoc! Rookie rumble is the best place to gain some experience in the world of overclocking. Good luck and have fun!
  9. Glad we got that settled, according to a forum member it may have been glitched out by cpu-z monitoring my RAM
  10. I did a recent overclock of my ram and did a benchmark looking for a high read result it came back with this: http://hwbot.org/submission/2626169 I was too excited to realize that these results are a bit suss. Is this score theoretically possible or is this a bug? Thanks, Luke
  11. Fair enough, it seemed to good to be true, ill try again later I suppose
  12. nvm, after some research I found that it should be running at 930 MHz because RAM has two transfers per cycle so 930 MHz per cycle~ 1866
  13. Just got a question, CPU-z is reporting my RAM as 900 MHz even though it should be 1866. I checked bios and had changed the settings from auto to 1866 MHz and it still shows this even under load. Is it broken?
  14. Sorry I didn't mean it broke, it throttled itself to the point where 2 cores will barely run notepad lol. It is working fine, and as soon as I do a real run with all my mobo fans, I should be able to hold 5.4 nicely
  15. Also thanks junk, I got it running at 5.4 GHZ with the offset for all of 3 minutes before it throttled itself to death
  16. My first round in, overall im happy with the results especially since not only am I doing this in a NZXT H440, im doing it in it with all the panels on. The hwbot submission should really be 1648.5 per core because I was running my 8320 in a dual core configuration. I'll do a proper benchmarking run in a couple of days where ill actually strip the case of all panels and put the socket/backpanel/mofset coolers on.
  17. nvm my last comment, I exceeded my last comps result My next goal is 5.4 GHz, but I have been running 1.55v (max for my cpu) since 5.1GHz...
  18. I was just wondering if I could use results I entered into another hwbot competition, or would I have to redo the benchmark?
  19. You submitted the wrong score. You put the hwbot score but the competition asks for the read score so instead of 645 mb/s, you need to state 12820 mb/s
