beautiful, where is the 7ghz valid??

BUG: my 3d scores are showing ths CPU used and not the GPU...
Same here
-
You say it,the difference is the reward.
With the current system the winner takes it all.
And this is a very big step in relation to rev.2.
And the ones who benched after rules and awarding from rev.2 left out in the cold.
On the other side you pushed popular Hardware to the sky.
In my opinion this is an unfortunate balancing.
^ Well everyone has to adapt to a different way of playing, whether benching old hardware or new. Your not the only person who lost points, or has benchmarks that were worth rev2 points not worth anything in rev3. Evolve!!

http://hwbot.org/rankings/benchmark/pcmark_vantage/rankings?cores=16
All those scores are ranked incorrectly
GTX295's have been out for a year now (almost), so you are saying I have to wait until more scores are submitted for my Quad run to be worth what it used to be worth? Will never happen. No one will chase low point values. Plus, I don't think there's going to be more 295 submissions, only less now that new tech has arrived. It wont be worth the same because your only getting global points in one category now.... just like we all are. Anyone who benched gtx295, 4870x2, 5970 lost points (myself included, but I gained points from other places - notably hwboints). Until more results in the multiple gpu categories are submitted you wont see big global points coming from them (which is what made up your larger score in rev 2). In rev 2 you got global points in both single card and multi rankings, now you only get global points for whichever score would yield more.
-
Doesn't matter if they are directly competing against each other or not...I think what hipro said was the single core card will get more points than the dual core and be more valuable here on hwbot.
The same will hold true for the dual core gt300 when it arrives, I guess. It will be relegated to back of the line with the 5970. The single cores will dominate with points, even though they score significantly less on the benchmarks.
Until more scores are submitted in the multi card category, yes dual gpu cards wont get as much global points. As the number of submissions grow so will the global points.
I assume Hipro5 knows the new rules better than I, and if what he says is true, this stinks!
Even picking up gold cups for lower generation models won't generate any points anymore.
Incorrect, lower gen models are where some of the biggest points are to be won! (8800gt, 8800gtx, 7 & 6 series nvidia, 38xx, etcetcetc)
I guess to play on HWbot anymore you have to have the top of the line single core gpu on LN2. Us little guys are crushed.Versus before when you had to have cpu on LN2 and 4x flagship top of the line gpus right? Nothing has changed... people on LN2 will still rule the ranks as they always have. Little guys arent crushed with this revision, in fact your awarded more since a greater number of the top submission in a category will now receive hwboints where they would not have before.

that's probably at least 5 people now that chose to stop benching because of the new rev
AFAIK people bench because they enjoy it. If hwbot went down forever tomorrow I would still bench. The competition just adds some more vareity and flavor to it. To stop benching b/c of this is stupid. If you stop participating in hwbot thats one thing, but to stop benching altogether?

Hmmmm........Did you guys got payed by NVIDIA?.....
Reason I'm asking is SIMPLE:
NVIDIA is about to brink to as their new GPUs which - GUESS - they are "SINGLE CORE GPUs"
They will BEAT SINGLE ATI 5870 VGA for sure BUT NOT "easily" their 5970 one....
SO people will get the most hwpoints using them....
5970 will be "worthless" THOUGH it'll get BIGGER numbers....
DID you got payed by NVIDIA?.......
P.S. I'm with SOF on that.....
hipro5 here from another computer........
Sorry george I think that complaint is a bit silly. When nvidia release a dual gpu version of gt300 it will wreck 5970 also. single vs single, dual vs dual. You cant blame hwbot b/c nvidia makes a stronger card... Not to mention single core gt300 will never compete directly against 5970. gt300=single, 5970=multi.

if you guys dump 3d mark 2k1 that would be a grave mistake

Is this valid result than [ if cheksum is valid ], and what is the deal with screwdriver on specific part of mb : ) ?
Maybe OP should do a YT clip of this interesting find.
Looking forward to see more of this.
No its obviously a bugged run

I guess I really dont see whats unfair when people are running rampant with $1600 worth of gfx cards. If someone has a nice storage array, they should get some credit

well not a whole lot more, but I wouldve broken 380k for sure... maybe 385k or so?

If you like hot wings, KFC is no place for you... Come to Buffalo, New York, where the "Hot" chicken wing was invented We have restaurants with "suicide" wings... put hair on your back everytime u eat them
But I must agree with jmke... McD, BK, KFC is mostly junk food, although some of their meals taste ok, or are good if you are in a hurry and need to eat a meal while driving somewhere or something.

Im not accusing anyone of hardware sharing, but alot of 4890's were being benched yesterday
-
awesome stuff guys, looks like you all had fun.
-
Lets have a bench session brian... MUAHAHAHA
j/k
-
LOL thats awesome
-
it is running at full x16 bandwidth? does gpuz say x16? chispy had a similar problem, and had to RMA his classified since the pci-ex slots were only giving x8 or x4 bandwidth...
-
notice how his watermark blocks the validation too?
-
I agree with what pro said here. Just becuase you ranked in top 10 on hwbot doesnt entitle you to anything. Hwbot isnt setting up this contest after all....
-
My hardware should arrive home this week from the LN2 bench party in New York , If this scores are not removed by then I will run 03 in W7 under LN2 Single card and see what happens bro. Maybe 130k possible single card who knows
Yeah maybe if you take a global that will get someones attention lol
-
Yes those scores look way out of the ordinary.
Could be.. and I see no listing of individual test scores. It would have helped in verifying the cause of the high score...Of course that would reveal the bugged test
Angelo, time to rerun on win7 bro

Invitation only type of things happen all the time. I would have loved to try and qualify for GOOC 2009 in LA, but it was invite only. Granted im not ranked 6th or whatever, but thats not the point. The point is the manufacturers who will be supplying tons of gear, prizes, etc want to pick the oc'ers for THE FIRST SEASON. Next time around there will be qualifiers so why is everyone getting their panties in a bunch? Lets put our full support and best effort behind it, and see where it takes us!
-
this idea is awesome! I really hope it gets off the ground and is well received. Then next time around an open qualifier will ensure no one feels left out
