Albrecht, I dont have UD9, and I dont have a good chip :-) I honestly didnt spot the win7 part, makes a bit more sense, however, still headroom for improvement, but as Sam kindly stated; the best tweak is screening hardware... (he said the same thing; just in a... "little", ok ok, way more polite way...) 150mhz uncore 200mhz cpu 100mhz qpi 30mhz ram (slightly weaker timings though) So; Wondering, is it because Rampage 3 Extreme sucks compared to UD9, or what have you done to need all those extra mhz to win by 1 second? :-)

I second that, and before/along conroe, yonah/merom, retails were stronger as well.. E6600 was conroe, and darn well stronger ES then retail, hope you didnt mean that in the line of processors

Hi guys, sorry I might have hit wrong section As I understand the rules now..: For 3D benching, no sharring graphics For 2D benching, no sharring CPU BUT; I suggest a small add-on: For multi-card 3D benching, no sharring CPU. Obviously 2x HD4870X2, 3x HD5870, 2x HD5970 and other graphics is way too powerful to limit a benchmark ran at default (1024 or 1280), one needs an insanely fast chip to feed such powerful graphics.... Therefore CPU being the limitatition; I suggest its not allowed to share. Hope you guys like my suggestion! PS: Massman, you still have to change my title to DeusExP55 : - P

I personally dont want to see it on hwbot, but, that might not be realistic... And I dont because its for competition.... Heck, I dont know if Boris (Stummerwinter) has gulftown, being invited to Cebit for overclocking etc, I'd say pretty high odds he has.... The guy uses a shite-load of cash on HW, so does many other benchers and topbenchers, I think they deserve credit for their hard work, not just being ran over by some unapproved result... (Unapproved since not released HW.... And while we are at it; TWKR shouldnt give boints at all....) However, going more realistic, it would be good, atleast a bit more satisfying IF the valid-only is easiest accessible, while the "super-duper-nextgen-hw" is in a section you actually have to search for... The ones that WANTS to see nextgen HW results will probably spend time looking for it???? Will the marketing person spend time looking for the valid list, that reveals the skills? Answer is simple; NO, especially since the publicity is less.. Seriously; HWbot should live up to the responsibility and impact that it has on this matter, its for competition, show the spirit of sport, embrace the ones that play by the rules, and let them get the credit they deserve... Example... I remain in the opinion; Its completely lame and disgraceful that when you go to "world record" you get to see these results... I think they should be completely removed, however #7 solution makes sense, hide away the scores from the MAIN list, the sublist you mentioned, guys, you have the figures of hits per page, I dont, can you honestly tell me that many people knows about that "hidden" list and checks it??? #4 Andre I dont spot everything, personally, since the P5E3 / P5K3 I havent seen any ASUS motherboard that I like, the graphics is another matter.... I dont feel that Im missing out on anything, read about the P7-55 "supercomputer", what I noticed was no retail chips above 220bclk, once again; dont feel that Im missing out on nothing. I dont like when FM approves scores with pre-released HW... I made a huge fuss about this on XS at both C2D 65nm and 45nm launch.... Besides, without knowing it; I doubt you have violated any NDA. FOR results on hardware that wont be public availible in year 2009.... Why the heck isnt the other decent and HONEST results #1 While Im at it; I think the 3Dmark2006 result isnt anywhere near good, and the performance product of the 32M sucks compared to Stummerwinter who has the VALID and true #1 spot... (Dispite the larger shared cache, which should yield better CPC performance in 32M) Dont get me wrong; AndreYang has made some very good results, but its truely disgraceful to submit results of none released hardware on the worlds leading benchmark competition site... Why does AndreYang have priveledge to be #1 untruth while other doesnt? Beyond doubt there is more then 3 results in each of the categories with better scores, difference is; They have signed a NDA, and stick to that NDA....

Must have been a bug, I did report it, however it asked me to sign in, so I did But I thought it went through, seeing it became valid today, its not a new result. Anyhow; Glad that its none approved no more, I think the user needs to explain his actions, or why its "valid", a decent chance, yet if equinox fails doing so, I do believe he deserves a permban... So; He has 2x 2003, one with CFX which is clearly higher? Yes: 1) the 113 result is with CFX 2) The 123? result is with CFX at 80x/100x mhz and NONE WHQL driver, besides, I was using 20x200 4ghz, 800mhz crap timings (fast test) and got 116-117K, the 123K score is highly possible, especially with 42xxmhz.... My gain from 3ghz to 4ghz was 9k I recall.

I reported it last night, thing is I believe Im no#1 on aircooled setup in 2003.... I was wondering about that result for some days, because I dont believe AMD hits as high CPC as P55.... So, I tested it,,,, My results were less then 100K with 4ghz sharp on my 965C3 using one card at stock clocks, using two it was rather 116-117K, bare in mind; quite decent tweaked OS. Now why did I report that result.. Its photoshopped, using a X2 card you will get "Enabled (2 GPUs), Sideport Off", notice how its listed as "Disabled", I suggested that this is because the REAL text was "Enabled (4 GPUs), Sideport Off",.... I think when cheating in such aggressive way, a permban from the bot is in order.... I showed Massman the result on 11-11-09, but at that point I hadnt figured the bug/cheat, I just noticed last night and reported :-) .... NeoForce, I dont understand how you can approve the result when I have given this explaination in the report...

Guys, with due respect... I think this competition needs to be extended.... Lets set a new deadline.... INCLUDING entire Q1 2010.... Since 1st april isnt serious for ending, 2nd april competition ends??? Thereby we will have our beloved dualcore LGA1156 CPU's, not these quad monsters that we deep down inside actually hate for being quads.... Tell me, how many of you benchers ACTUALLY want more then singlecore? We freakin' tweak, we dont need multi core! Only some few benchies does, and ofc, for them we bring on the cores.... Example: three guys teaming up (A,B,C) and on two teams (A+B) while third © is on another team... C brings: CPU + RAM A+B brings: MOBO + cooling A+B gets: GFX's from vendor or store Now how would the various benchmarks be submitted.... EDIT: My guess would be: C submits calculation benchmarks But how about 3D's...?

But my point is, I think new rules needs to be made... Example: Next weekend, I will be in Hungary, maybe I'll bring a CPU and some ram, but they have CFX and 7 boards as far as I remember.. - I dont think we will make any relevant scores for HWB, but it would be nice to know what rules works, as, in my oppinion, I belive that the knowledge spend on the benching isnt the same as the hardware... Playing with LODs, SKEW's, subtimings etc.... Tweaking the operating system, knowing the issues for each test, what fails, that is actually the hard part.... As for the testing, my goal will be 16.5GB/s, 1250mhz ram and CL5 at 1000mhz (DDR3-2000)... which isnt really interesting for HWB
