frag_ Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Hi! Why this category http://www.hwbot.org/hardware/processor/pentium_m_1.7ghz is named 'Pentium M 1.7 Banias' when all results in it actually made with Dothans? Banias and Dothan have strong differences in L2 cache sizes (1M and 2M) and tech processes (.13 and .9). Thanks! Quote
Crew Turrican Posted November 8, 2010 Crew Posted November 8, 2010 the "banais" didn't have the 3-digit "numbering". intel pentium m 1.7ghz -> banais intel pentium 735 (1.7ghz)-> dothan so, the error lies in the users which submitted into the wrong category or cpu-z in having problems identifying them correctly. Crew Antinomy Posted November 8, 2010 Crew Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Yes, and it's not the only one. I suppose it's a CPU-Z mistake that the model numbers of Dothan CPUs are not detected correctly and people posted them in the wrong place. I'll figure what the error is, report on the submissions and write another letter to Franck Delattre, don't worry Karl, the "banais" didn't have the 3-digit "numbering".This isn't totally true http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_M/Intel-Ultra%20low%20voltage%20Pentium%20M%201.1%20GHz%20RJ80535UC0051M.html http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_M/Intel-Low%20voltage%20Pentium%20M%201.3%20GHz%20RJ80535LC0131M.html http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_M/Intel-Pentium%20M%201.5%20GHz%20RH80535GC0211M%20%28BXM80535GC1500E%29.html The interesting fact is that earlier versions of CPU-Z showed Pentium M 735 correctly and the latter don't. And CPU-Z doesn't differ the usual Pentium M from LV and ULV and that is bad since there were model from both families working on the same frequency. Edited November 8, 2010 by Antinomy Quote
frag_ Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 I don't think it's cpu-z problem, I have Banias 1.7 and cpu-z correctly shows it, I'll make screen today evening. edit: you can see it here http://www.hwbot.org/community/submission/685256_frag__3dmark2001_se_mobility_firegl_t2_8976_marks Quote
Crew Antinomy Posted November 8, 2010 Crew Posted November 8, 2010 It's not a "CPU-Z with Banias" problem. It's a "CPU-Z with Dothan" problem - no model numbers. Quote
frag_ Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Hmm... thus all these results are in whong place... Quote
Crew Turrican Posted November 8, 2010 Crew Posted November 8, 2010 @anti there are a lot of similare problems with cpu-z. after hours of digging in the database i recognized, that older cpu-z version identfied some cpus different than newer ones. Quote
