Posted January 20, 201114 yr Can I submit a result using GNU/Linux operating systems ? Only few benchmark can be runned on these os but for example Superpì work (very very faster than windows), and for the screenshots there are a lot of methods for show hw info..... Here's an example screenshot I wait for your answers bob80 Edited January 20, 201114 yr by bob80
January 21, 201114 yr Crew unfortunately most of the benchmarks only run under windows OS and the results (super pi, etc.) aren't compareable with linux. i'm sorry.
January 21, 201114 yr Author wprime and pifast don't work But the superpì can be runned fine.....and the results at the same cpu/ram frequency is also faster. And the requirements for the score are present, it change only the os.... So I can't submit scores using linux althought superpì work fine ? Edited January 21, 201114 yr by bob80
January 21, 201114 yr Crew no, because the results are not comparable with the super pi windows results.
January 22, 201114 yr Author But the computation is the same, the iterations are the same......Furthermore the linux o.s. isn't presents in the list of illegal tweaks....You can't really do nothing on this arguments, can't you talk with massman Many thanks
January 26, 201114 yr If you want to compare two results, you always need a common foundation. In this case it's the Windows operating system. In theory we could add a feature that allows you to choose what operating system you were running (so linux can be compared to linux), but the request for that is very low and it's not as simple as just adding a selection field. So, to sum up: no linux-based submissions allowed.
