Oldguy932 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I'd like to run some gpu benchmarks with my surface book, but it just comes up as Geforce GPU in gpu-z and everything else except for PCMark Vantage. Futuremark's website shows it as "NVIDIA GeForce 940M (Surface Book)." GPU-Z Validation PCMark Vantage Result Would it make sense to submit 3DMark scores under the 940M category? Thanks! Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 2, 2017 Administrators Posted September 2, 2017 I think so, it seems to be recognized as 940m so you can submit it there for 3ds Quote
Oldguy932 Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 I should've been broader in my question. For 3DMark2003 and newer it should be fine like you said because I can view on the web and have it properly identify it there. However, for 2001, Aquamark, GPUPrime, etc. they don't have something to identify it properly. I did submit a validation to GPU-Z last week but I don't know how long it'll be before the program reads the card properly. I just don't want to spend the time running the benchmarks just to get flagged results. It seems similar to the situation from this thread where a 5145M was being identified as a 4570M. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 3, 2017 Administrators Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) You can wait for gpuz to be upgraded or you add a link of a futuremark benchmark at which the card is recognized correctly and a remark to the result to prove what system was used.
