r1rhyder Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I have a question or two. As an advanced or pro user of 3dm03 and 3dm05, I have the option to not run the cpu or featured tests. Something the free users have no option for. They have to run them for a valid score, correct? The benchmark completes succesfully and I get a valid score. By not running the cpu tests, I can run on a hairier edge than they can giving me a slight advantage and therefore, a better score. What is hwbots view on this. It is an unfair advantage is it not? It's possible to lower the clocks with SetFSB after the important tests are done, I think. If only GPU-tests add to the score, then doing this after they're finished shouldn't harm the score (right?). You need to be quick, but it's possible to do it that way.. Quote
Just Learnin' Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Also you can hit Esc on the keyboard when the CPU tests start in '03 and '05 and still get valid results. In '01 you only have to run the 7 graphics tests by using the Custom settings. Quote
Monstru Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 ESC does the trick, so there is no problem Quote
