June 6, 201114 yr Yeah, but it's not underclocked. For some strange reason the CPU isn't running at full speed and I'm trying to figure out what's the problem.
June 6, 201114 yr Author did you already modify the clocks or did you the test @stock? maybe it became to hot und slow down itself?
June 6, 201114 yr I think that the problem is the mobo, I don't changed anything but only run at 1.5GHz instead of 1.9GHz that's the correct speed. The mobo have a "dead" capacitor, maybe that's the problem.
June 6, 201114 yr Crew an athlon xp 2600+ with barton core is stock clocked @ 11.5x166. your's is clocked @ 11.5x100. so your fsb is too low, try set it manually to 166mhz. the nforce 2 board can handle it.
June 6, 201114 yr Author ok, thats realy a problem. but fortunately you have a lot of time to change the board until the competition ends edit: try first turricans method. sounds plausible
June 6, 201114 yr I want the CPU running at full speed, so, I will try the Turrican suggestion. Opty already did his magic in the K7 line, so, my 2600+ can not go so high...i think.
June 6, 201114 yr Author yeah that result is impressive, especial for this early time of the competiton... but there are points for the eight best submissions i´ll try it, too. i guess there is a athlon 2800+ in my collection... let´s see, what it is good for ^^
