trodas Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Guay, I wonder, if the MSI Achievements does not work - or if it is my mobo not recognized as MSI mobo?! IN the Achievements I see this: So, that sounds good, is not it? I have a MSI mobo - old MSI PM8M3-V with VIA VIA P4M800 (Pro?) chipset and therefore it will be relatively easy to get this. http://www.msi.com/product/mb/PM8M3-V.html#?div=CPUSupport But wait... how come there is NO progress in this achievement? I already submited some scores - all the LGA 775 scores are made using this mobo and I always entered the mobo into the description, for example: ...but surprisingly, in the results are MSI not mentioned at all?! http://hwbot.org/submission/2432677_trodas_superpi___1m_pentium_4_3.2_ghz_prescott_44sec_78ms Now... WTF is going on? How could I accomplish the MSI Achievement, when my MSI mobo is not recognized at all?! ...and I pull a pretty good work to make it working well with quality components on this one: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?p=269526 :nana: Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It's because your board isn't in the database. I will get it added and I will edit your submissions. Quote
trodas Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Aaaah, that explains it. Well, there is already plenty of them and I will get some more tests done todays with "new" P4 650... Twice the L2 cache and 3.4GHz ... Not to mention I already looked out for my nVidia cards - if my old FX5600XT can still go from 234MHz core to 375MHz core (!) ...not kidding, that it w/o any serious mods (except hi-quality caps + better caps used), so... I hope the board get added soon, lol. I should have reported it sooner, true. Quote
trodas Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 ...and I just got another toy to play, a P4 650 CPU: http://hwbot.org/submission/2433308_trodas_superpi___1m_pentium_4_3.4_ghz_prescott_41sec_297ms So let's hope the fix will be there soon 41.297 is not that bad, lol. Almost as fast, as Opteron 148 at 2.2GHz Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) You motherboard has been added: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/ I will edit your subs right away. For the achievement, please hit the "recalculate achivement" button here EDIT: Done, I think I didn't miss any. You have 14 submissions using this motherboard. Edited October 4, 2013 by Christian Ney Quote
trodas Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) Great, thanks! I see my mobo is now recognized: ...but why it does not have a picture? Just like this one? http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/ms_71_04/ You can use the first image from this thread: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?p=269526 ...because this is the MSI image for this mainboard: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/PM8M3-V.html (I was just merely complain that the caps are different (type&numbers), but that is common marketing practice) Yep, 14 sounds about right. Make it 15 with the morning 3DMark 2001 SE run (new CPU, gained few points despite the inferior PCI problem ) ... But there is slight problem. 14 is more that half of the required twenty, yet the pregress bar does look like 5 or 6 submissions: What is going on? PS. when I want to add some relatively rare mainboards, just like the MSI 6340M: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/MS-6340M.html ....I better contact your first? Edited October 4, 2013 by trodas Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Pic added: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/ Should show up also in subs like this one As for the achievements, should be fine. If after 21 you still don't have it, contact me. Yes, when a motherboard isn't in the database, please make a ticket here and it will be added asap. Quote
trodas Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Wow, that is neat! It should not be so stretched, but still better that noting And it does show up and nicely, as it is, not deformed. Hooray! Thanks! About MSI Achievements - well, excuse my lame question, but... where I can check how much MSI submisions I did get ranked as MSI ones? There is no counter, when I click on the MSI Achievement (that a bit suxx, when paired together with the "not very precisesely looking" gauges). And thanks for letting me know, how to add a mainboard. I better took a picture of the whole mobo, so it can get the picture too, right? Because the MSI "picture" is too small: ...and enlarge looks ughly, as on the MSI page is obvious. Now... what about mainboards, that their makers did not want to do much with anymore? Like the JetWay V266B mobo? I have two (or even there, I can't recall, lol) of them, both working. I just made a MaxxMEM submision (twice) from one of them And obvisouly HWbot have no idea, that the mobo does exist Quote
GENiEBEN Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 The picture stretching is indeed annoying, hope it gets sorted out in next revision. Until then, you can edit the original to fit the exact size of the frame so it doesn't get stretched/fitted anymore. Yes, when a motherboard isn't in the database, please make a ticket here and it will be added asap. And obvisouly HWbot have no idea, that the mobo does exist // Quote
trodas Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Stretched image - I can gladly submit the image of the MSI PM8M3-V in any dimensions - just add some white backgrount to the right when need 360x240: (these are the original dimensions it report there: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/'>http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/ ) 344x229: (to this size it says it was streched: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/ ) 220x245: (200x245 size is the image os MSI PM8M-V: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/ms_71_04/ ) All seems to me to be kinda nicer that this: ... But still unanswered is this: "where I can check how much MSI submissions I did get ranked as MSI ones?" .Because many of my submissions are completely missing (mainly these with Sapphire PI-A9RX480 mobo)... Edited October 5, 2013 by trodas Quote
Crew Turrican Posted October 5, 2013 Crew Posted October 5, 2013 go under your profile to "achievements" http://hwbot.org/user/trodas/#Achievements there you can see the progress in form of a little green bar underneath the achivement picture. when you mouse over it it says 6/20 atm. Quote
trodas Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Nope, it does not say how much I have done for me: ...but maybe that is because I use Firefox v3.1 beta3 browser? Using Opera 11.64 for the test - same except there are the address of this page mentioned in the tooltip... And besides, even if 6 submissions are true, then most of my submissions have to disapear, because: Christian Ney - EDIT: Done, I think I didn't miss any. You have 14 submissions using this motherboard. ...I was at 14 recently. And submited some more from this day, not deleted them Something is deeply wrong there. Tested recalc: Achievement 'MSI Motherboard Fanatic' checked for all your submissions, but not awarded. Either you already had this achievement, or you do not meet the requirements. If you think this is incorrect please contact the crew. Nah, no help. Won't work. Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Here you can see the hardware you used and so far it looks like you made 20 submissions with an MSI motherboard. There you go, you have it: http://hwbot.org/achievement/101_ Quote
trodas Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Oh, well, great! Thanks! I'm still rather confused from HWbot, tought. When I click on the All sumbissions, it does not show them all. There are the Opteron SuperPi ones missing as well, as the 299 3DMarks for 3DMark 2001 - first lame attempt to get a super low 3DMark score. So either I expecting something different from the word "All", or only the best results are shown up? Then it should be renamed "Best scores" ... Oh, well. Off to make some meaningfull super low scores. First more serious attempt - 131 from 3DMark 2003 by FX5200 22/80MHz... gotta get it lower Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Yes, only best / hardware To display them all go to hardware library and clic the number if you see what I mean. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted October 5, 2013 Crew Posted October 5, 2013 read carefully what i wrote. ->you have to point the mousecursor over the green bar, to see the progress and not the achivement picture itself. Quote
trodas Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Okay, dokey! Got it. But then it should be... renamed? Because - even I cannot claim language superiority there - by my limited english vocabulary "All" mean quite something else - simply all the tests submited. Period. Not the best scores for the all submited tests... Something like "Best of" will fit more appropriately. And if this is true, then I claim a bug found That is - the best scores of SuperPi 1M and 32M tests are, of course, reserved for my Opteron 148 scores: http://url.hwbot.org/178Lg2K But I dare you to find them on the "All" my scores! Unless I'm blind, they are not there. And they are far better that anything the poor P4 architecture can come up with, of course. A bug? Or the Sapphire PI-A9RX480 mobo problem? BTW, the Sapphire PI-A9DR480 mobo lack a picture: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pi-a9rx480/ At what dimensions I can submit for you the official picture of it? Got it in quite big resolution: http://postimg.org/image/bu2pcmy6j/full/ ...and scaling down so much require add the contrast and sharpen the result a bit, so it is not like "just scale it down"... (there is just the graphician in me, well... bear with me, pls ) Turrican - read carefully what i wrote. ->you have to point the mousecursor over the green bar, to see the progress and not the achivement picture itself. Oh, true! Mea culpa. ...but... there tons of bugs then! Let me just start: Make 100 submissions to HWBOT. - 6/100 is my progress, but that cannot be right, since just the 20 MSI submissions prove this entierly wrong... Overclock 25 different Nvidia graphics cards - 1/25 is my progress, but that is also wrong, because I submited results using FX6800 GT, GF2 MX400, FX5200... each overclocked and underclocked... in various ways. Use an MSI mainboard for at least 50 submissions. - 0/0 is my progress - is this right, the first 20 does not count? Make 5 3DMark submissions with a very low score. - 0/0 is my progress, yet there are scores like 96 and 83 3DMarks for 3DMark 2003... How low is this "very low" for a 3DMark 2001 and 3DMark 2003, can you tell...? http://hwbot.org/submission/2434222_trodas_3dmark03_geforce_fx_5200_131_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2434242_trodas_3dmark03_geforce_fx_5200_96_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2434245_trodas_3dmark03_geforce_fx_5200_83_marks ...I got score of 73Marks too, but when opening new windows of CPU-Z, then the machine failed on me Too low... I saw there cursors, photographed this situation... Edited October 5, 2013 by trodas Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Pic added: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pi-a9rx480/ I will look into the "all" scores issue later on. Quote
trodas Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Yep, but this is ughly as hell: ...what about use this one? (344x229) If you tell me the wanted dimensions, then I can create nice images for any board for HWbot - for free and be happy to help a good project. Just tell me the dimensions and we all then can enjoy nice images Quote
Christian Ney Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 If I am not mistaken the default dimensions are 400x200. Yes it looks ugly, maybe it will be fixed for next rev so no need to waste time on it now. Quote
trodas Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 I can provide pictures in ANY dimensions you say. Just to get them not ughly and not stretched somehow... And I did not ask for anything in return 400x200 then: (the image in the grey rectangle - http://s7.postimg.org/rz7v35rd7/Sapphire_PI_A9_RX48_sample_image.jpg - is actually 360x240 pixels in size exactly) Quote
trodas Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 full ack @ chris I like totally understand, what you are talking about Now just a little translation, please, for the rest of the people... BTW, I still not get any reply on these questions: Make 100 submissions to HWBOT. - 6/100 is my progress, but that cannot be right, since just the 20 MSI submissions prove this entierly wrong... not to mention 23 submissions for the MSI PM8M3-V mobo itself: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/pm8m3-v/ Overclock 25 different Nvidia graphics cards - 1/25 is my progress, but that is also wrong, because I submited results using FX6800 GT, GF2 MX400, FX5200... each overclocked and underclocked... in various ways. What now? Quote
Crew Turrican Posted October 6, 2013 Crew Posted October 6, 2013 I like totally understand, what you are talking about Now just a little translation, please, for the rest of the people... it's short for "fully acknowledged". Quote
trodas Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 And hooray - finally HWbot recognized that I made: 31 submissions already (uff) 4 nVidia gfx cards (okay) 2 3D Mark submissions with very low score (looks like only my 65 and 83 Marks for 3D Mark 2003 are counted, so 96 Marks is too much ) ...and the MSI 50 submissions Achievement picked up 10 points, so at least something is moving already Great, thanks for the fix, guys! Now I pull off my Duron and we see about very low scores! Quote
