  1. err....i meant ME8 part...

what do they mean by ME is not user end/field upgradeable?

BIOS code to work with Windows 8.

Not all Ivy Bridge CPUs support PCI-e 3.0 either. Z77 and Z75 chipset arrives January to replace Z68/P67. There's going to be a lot of pissed off people who bought into the "Get Gen3 now with Gen3 Z68 motherboards!". One of the reasons why GBT haven't done a UD3/GEN3 like MSI & ASUS have as the focus is Z77 and not Z68. Theres a lot of work being done with Z77, more so than X79 boards. Not too many changes either, though you can run 3 monitors independently from each of the VGA outs which is a nice perk. Z75 is just a cheaper Z77 - supports two lanes @ 3.0 rather than three lanes on Z77.

  2. Think the latest MSI bios has killed both my boards. Not sure yet. Gd55 had issues with men timings on 174 bios. Couldn't change them. Updated to 185 bios. I can't change the speed. Then all weekend I've had issues trying to get the damn thing to boot. Tried everything. Thought I just over cooked the board so I JUST bought the gd65, applied 185 bios and I have the same issues again! Really peeeeed off man. Tried everything. I bought this today in hope I can run some 3d at 2000 cl6 instead of 1333 mem and get better scores. What a waste. Spent 4hrs trying to post both boards! When it finally does, I'll change one setting, it'll shut down to post after, but nothing. Another 30mins wasted trying to post again...

Tried 4 sets of memory, 3 different CPUs.. No idea! Even clearing CMOS doesn't do anything to post it.

  3. I've got the same issue with MSI GD55 :D

I' ve tested with SS ~50C, 55 multi was possible, with water only 54 multi was possible. Board or cpu worked strange with good memory(it didn't work with tight timings). Looking for best cpu and board

Anybody knows the programm which can change timings at OS?

That error message is a pain lol. Picking up a GD65 tomorrow and seeing if I get the same as the GD55.

  4. Hi Guys,

Does anyone on the P67 MSI boards have problems with memory timings?

No matter what setting I choose, what speed or voltage, I can't choose my own timings. I've tried 4 different sets of memory, loaded the OC BIOS .171 & latest .181 but to no avail. If I change just one tiny setting from auto (bios reports cas 8 is auto) to cas 9 the board won't boot. It'll power up and nothing happens. I have to reset the CMOS to get back to normal. My timings are holding me back but if I can't change them from auto.. Well what you going to do? Lol.
