  1. If the attempt is to make it as easy as possible I think it would be better to have categories like: Extreme, regular and stock. Or something like that.

I personaly think that its a good idea to add waterchiller, or write in the guidelines that if you use waterchiller you have to choose singel phase cooling.

Another thing is that a waterchiller basically is a combined singel stager with watercooling. Maybe it could be possible to choose both the two categories?

  2. Seems to me that this new benchmark is quite advanced. And futuremark har probably used alot of time making it.

But I think it shouldnt be added to hwbot before its free. Or atleast you should be able to run it a couple of times to get a score.

    And 25 minutes. Jeez

  3. No way that I'm going to tune it > 130HP. It will decrease the life expectancy for sure.

I'm not really sure about 105 to 125HP... do you think it would hurt the motor in the long run? The Audi A4 has exactly the same engine but 115HP, I wonder what the maximal power would be without hurting the engine in the long run.

I dont think ot will decrease the life expectancy much, at the end of the day it is the way you use the engine that counts.

I think it will manage 150HP easy, look at the Seat Leon 150HP 1,9tdi or the golf 150HP 1,9 tdi. Isnt theese almost the same engines?

130-140HP i reacon is safe. But then again I usually overclock all my Hw to be running on the edge... :P

  4. Best hardware i ever bought:

    1. Celeron 347 3,06GHz did 7,7GHz on LN2

    sucky performance, insane overclocker....

    2. 7900 GTO

Did 1000/930 cooled with dry ice, and a bit voltmodded... hehe

    3. AMD x2 3800+ s939.

Had this sucker running 3,0GHz on air. But it didnt have any coldbug. 3,6GHz stable on dry ice.

    4. My Asus P5B deluxe wifi (P5B Deluxe Jesus Edition)

This poor mobo has died about 5 times. But with a bit cleaning and love it allways raises from the dead.

Its missing a pin in the socket, has about 10 fsb holes, can only run fsb:memory 1:1, and has been washed in my shower about 10 times.

    I love it.... :D

  6. We have a team competition going on atm. And as you can see from the rankings we are making som good progress :D

The Norwegian team was started back in Oktober 2006, we have 94 registered users. And among them some old legends, like Stoolman and Overklokk. Feel free to join us if youre in lack of a team.

Our goal is to keep the team in the top 10 league. And so far it looks like we are going to be able to do that. The members forum is http://www.diskusjon.no.

    Lin to our team

Some more info on our team competition:

    3 categories:

    1. An Overklokk built singlestage phasechange goes to the one who has the best % overclocked CPU.

    2. A gigabyte motherboard, AMD 3800+ and Corsair PC6400 2GB set of memory to the one with most scores that gives points.

    3. Is an open category, funny, extreme? Maybee we will se some 486 superpi ownage here.....

The competition is finished on Sunday 15.04.2007. And soon afterwards we will have the winners ready.

Its only open for people living in Norway. Due to prices for shipping.

But feel free to post some results if you want non the less....

  7. Yeah I totally understand the point of getting a battle in the top. But wouldnt it be more fun if there was like 5-10 teams fighting about the top. I dont see the point of getting a even bigger gap between XS, OCX and the rest of the teams. OCX teammembers needs to start benching 24/7 then we will se a real fight again :D

And wee all know that diskusjon.no will rule them all... ehh....
