Faster means here maximum clocked (MHz), or fast here mean performance?

 

If first - Cedar-based CPU's are sure FTW (>5.5G for sure for suicide, i did 6G with only +10°C (waterchiller tho) ).

 

Also "air" means nothing. Even best of best 980X cant go 5G in africa sands with +50 ambient

And some chilly -50°C balcony with "air" heatsink with some high-cfm fan will render any 980X to handle 5.5G

It's possible but needs lots of hardware (cards with NV bridge and w/o it). No useful sense to do that.

E.g. we can do QuadSLI with 480s w/o any hacks, same with 295s and 285s. What else needed?
