  1. Than make sure it is understandable what you write down, because my answer is answering exactly what you are describing in the first post. Be as specific as needed, otherwise no one will be able to answer or to help.
  2. First your thread title is misleading. Secondly there is more than one way to rise the Power Limit of Pascal, there are Shunt-mods, several other resistor mods and the XOC Bios (1080Ti), which fully unlocks the safety precautions Nvidia has built into the bios.... And if you just reach 105% of the 120% Power Limit, that just simply means your load on the GPU isn't high enough... Try something in 4k like Fire Strike Ultra for example, i'm pretty sure you will reach instantly the 120% and a permanent power limiting state where your clocks fluctuate like crazy. In addition, the cards frequency is also "falling down" as you call it when temperatures surpass different thresholds, ~37°C, ~42°C, ~52°C and some more, i hope you get it at this point. And the clocks decrease in 12.5MHz bins each temperature threshold. This is how GPU Boost 3.0 works. I hope this clarifies the situation for you, no "preffessinale" needed for that, its no sorcery ;-)
  3. LOD Tweaks are not allowed in Time Spy, your submission is invaild
  4. Sadly this Bios has worse performance. Edit: Testing done and done some calculations. Kingpin Time Spy GPU Score 13230 @ 2531/1583 LN2 Xtreme Addict Time Spy GPU Score 12316 @ 2440/1566 LN2 Hulio Time Spy GPU Score 11376 @ 2113/1589 H2O 2531/2113=1,198 -> 19,8% higher clock speed 13230/11376=1,163 -> 16,3% higher GPU Score clock to performance scaling isn't linear, no surprise here, but its in line with what we see 2440/2113=1,155 -> 15,5% higher clock speed 12316/11376=1,083 -> 8,3% higher GPU Score it should be more like 12,9 % more GPU Score So with the XOC Bios you are missing ~5% performance in comparison This is exactly the same factor, i'm getting less GPU score in my testing while using that XOC bios with my clocks compared to nvidia fe bios on water cooling. Something is wrong with that BIOS, 5% Performance loss is huge
  5. Yeah happens sometimes to me too, a very well known issue ;-)
  6. like the title says there is an error in the submitting link, it posts in singlecore rankings instead of multicore somehow.
  7. Im getting couple more points in CB 11.5 and 15 at win7, but thats it... It seems we both are competing in rookie rumble against each other for the first place :-P
  8. You simply missunderstand what ez installer wants from you ;-) Simply download EZ installer, install it -> run it -> emulate your win 7 iso with deamon tools or something comparable -> choose that in your ez installer as source when asked -> choose usb stick when asked -> press start. Reboot your system - go into uefi bios -> now it depends how your partitions look like, if mbr boot from stick without uefi mode, if gtp boot from stick with uefi mode... to prevent some mistakes make the hd you want to install your win 7 at as first source to boot and during boot press F8 to choose your boot stick !! This will work im 100% sure i did it 10 minutes ago on my apex
  9. Yeah im checking every day who might be the lucky winner Since just a few participated in stage 2 and 3, the chances are like 1:55 or something in that range to be the winner
  10. Sorry for double post! Trident Z 3600C16 sold out at my dealer atm, will take 12 days or so to be in stock again. But there is a Ripjaws V 3600C16 Kit in stock, it should be the same B-Die Stuff like trident z just the headspreader looks different, right? Can i buy this instead or should i wait? Thanks!
  11. Thanks a lot mate! Since i don't want to bin i guess ill go with a 3600 cl16 kit saving 20 bucks in comparison to the cl 15 kit. Buying some beer with the left over money and play around with the cl 16 kit ;-)
  12. Thanks for the quick answer, while i appreciate it, i would like to know why you and those guys who thanked you for the post think like that? Is it like those high MHz binned kits are just good in doing the clock, but are bad in timing tweaking, even at lower clocks, or is it another reason? In addition there is a trident z 3600 cl 15 kit, this would be good too, instead a cl 17 or 16 kit, right? I mean if i invest in new sticks, i don't care if it costs 20 bucks more or less...
  13. Since this thread exists and i don't want to open a new one... I'm on an apex board and i have some shitty corsair vengance led 3200 16-18-18-36 sticks. At the point i was buying the whole system i had to skimp a bit on some parts... maybe worth to mention and i wasn't that deep into benchmarking like i am now... I can't and i won't bin sticks, but what should i buy now as an upgrade? Should i simply buy a 4266MHz trident z rgb kit and check if i can run it that high? If my memory controller is a ugly biatch which refuses that high speeds, is that kit probably still good so i can go lower clocks but tighter timings? Cheers
  14. When will be the draw and where will be the winner announced? And how does that work, does the officials now check every submission made here if it is correct by the rules and so on? Cheer Hulio
  15. yeah did a backup with my bench os, which saves time at least but still this is a really strange issue, and i bet its affecting a lot of people and they just don't know what it is. especially ghost recon wildlands is getting unplayable because of that, and reading reddit posts of people haveing stuter issues with 1080's etc could be that too...
  16. I know what is causing the issue now. Its a driver crash after overclocking to much. The thing is the less fps issue and lower points in benchmarks presists even after reinstalling gpu drivers and so on. Just a fresh windows installation fixes that. Hopefully this new inforamtion knowing what it is helps and someone knows how i can fix that without needing to reinstall windows again.
  17. I made a fresh Partition and a fresh Windows 10 install, stripped system down for Time Spy benching purposes. (disabling services, features etc. etc.) Everything runs well and right i bench a lot, tweak overclocks, timings etc. everything is like expected. This worked liked 3 days, then i get constantly 300-400 points less in Time Spy, in Firestrike its like 700 Points... I thought well maybe i have overdone some system service disabling or some windows updates are causing those problems. So i installed Windows 10 fresh again, stripped it down again. Started benching and everything was fine again. I was happy. This worked 3 days and now this bunnyextraction happens again, im getting constantly 300-400 points less in Time Spy etc. I haven't changed anything, i just load bios profile boot in that particular system for benching and thats it. I haven't installed LAN drivers until today, maybe there is some issue with something related to that. I disabled Windwos update thou... so there isn't a windows update causing that i think. Other than that i can't think of something i have done to cause those issues. Maybe someone of you encountered similar issues and can help. Edit: Uninstalling GPU Drivers with DDU and reinstalling hasn't helped. I reinstalled Windows and that fixed the issue again. But since that issue exists on my regular windows 10 installation which i use daily for gaming and other stuff, the problem sucks badly. In addition to lower benchmark scores its causing massive stuttering and high FPS drops in Ghost recon Wildlands Cheers
  18. So you have to remove me from the "PRO OC 2017 ROUND 1" aswell. I guess because there i wasn't #1 you have overseen it ;-) Sorry for that, lets call it "Rookie Mistake"
  19. Gote already decent scores by installing windows 8.1... will try those tools later for sure ;-) thanks for the answers so far! Now i have a new problem, this time with Time Spy... my cpu score fluctuates from 6440ish to 6760ish, while getting the 6760ish cpu score one in 100 benches or so i have stripped the windows 10 down by alot almost no services and so on running idk why this fluctuates that much. i was thinking maybe a unstable oc or something but even lower overclocks it fluctuates alot. Edit: Another fresh insta fixed that to a fluctuation between 6590ish to 6750ish points. i guess thats normal, at least i hope so.
  20. Hi, Im on win 10 i have a 1080 Ti and a i7 7700k. I can bench every other benchmark (timespy, firestrike, aquamark, 3d mark 2001 se etc etc) and my overclocks and boost applie normaly. Just in 3d mark 06 and 05 my gpu clock stays at 1569 MHz all the time, while the gpu is under 30-35° C and load is somewhat about 10% .... this results in way lower scores i could achieve. Does somebody know what the issue could be? Tanks
  21. I have a problem with my GTX 1080 Ti and 3D mark 06, my GPU Clock is not boosting in 3D mark 06 it always stays at 1569 MHz, no matter what i do, and just in 3D Mark 06. Do you maybe know what this is and how i can overcome that?
