bazx- We try to keep things as simple as possible. It's not me who decide these alone. I do know that there is many users who does not agree with us on this decision, but it is the best solution so far.
Intel larrabee will not be any different, cause ATI / Nvidia new gpu's are multicore design too. If there is two/many physical cores in one pcb, but the card uses still one socket, it is single card. If multiple sockets are in use, it is dual card setup.
We had this discussion already in the past and nothing have changed since that. I don't like to sound rude here, but this discussion will not bring us more categories in global points.

We need a new fresh poll. We should do it in this month.
All yes votes are 60% of total in the old one, so "yes" votes are winning in that old poll too.
Those who are still thinking that it is only Nvidia GPU test, will be shocked in two weeks from now. The new king will arrive from the read team. At the moment I can't see any reason for not adding it. Too bad, that I have only one vote like all the others have

There is no need to change the current rules.
We are not counting cores here. We count slots/sockets (PCI-E/AGP etc.) One graphics card = one slot/socket, no matter how many gpu's there are inside.

Just a quick HW sharing question... my opteron 165 WR chip was bought from a team member who submitted a score here. That's legal, right? No HW sharing issues?
No problems! We just have to believe that you bought the chip. That's the way it is, so no worries.

-gprhellas: We benched only one 3D benchmark (AM3) and we used my GTX 280 on single stage, so frequencys were the same. Neoforce tried his 9800GX2 too, so that score should be legal by the all rules. The system decides which score is "higher", so the newer submit gets better place in rank. I haven't seen exactly same scores in AM3 with totally different HW
-Hipro5: You are right here and we benched different setups independently on saturday and sunday like I told in my thread in XS. Rules for Top 20 3D scores will remain the same in the future too.

Intel russia provided this CPU to our croup for this bench weekend. It is not mine or NeoForce's CPU. I had an opportunity to test it and so did Neo.
We benched separately and with two totally different setups.
Maximus II Formula
OCZ DDR2
etc..
P5Q3 Deluxe
G.Skill DDR3 HZ
etc..
The Aquamark score is done with my GTX 280 and I took that other submission down, cause we didn't have time to discuss about that score. That would be the HW sharing of course and I don't want that.

Frederik- My motherboard and ram
I watched while he benched BlackOPS hard. They don't have any working BlackOPS motherboards in Denmark, so it was nice opportunity to let him test it. So, nothing to worry about. Hint: As you can see, I have no QX9770 scores in my profile.
M.Beier --> If you have some personal problems with other Danish oveclokers, I don't want to take part to that.

I have eplained to Massman how Xt0m did his scores. No rules were passed an everything is just allright
I suggest, that you leave this wild/stupid idea and bench like before. Then you just have to use your current account. Is this ok?

I would need a lot more time, more LN2 and more support from vendors, if I would like to challenge the top spots.(I have got only 1 vga card ever form part makers) Too bad, that is not going to happen...

I want to add, that if you do a WR, then you should always save the result file on your computer/memory stick. Then you can submit result to ORB, if more verification is needed. This is no problem, if you think it a bit.
(ORB link is mandatory in top 20 scores)

To all-
Everyone have right to doubt. No need to feel sorry if someone of you think that someone is using cheats or something unusual. Sometimes we moderators might miss somethign and your help is welcome.
But the way these things are brought to daylight is my main concern. We shouldn't accuse anyone in public if there is no clear evidence.

Hipro.. You meant Car High = very low and Nature = very high? That's true, but here is the story.
I have never used MIP tweaks in my life. You can see my thread at XS where I first got 107420 score. Next day I benched again and got a bit better score.

174.74 driver got well known bug with Car High. Best driver for car high is 173.67, but there's a bug with nature test in those.
Look at Zannemas car high and nature with 173.67. They are exactly other way around: http://service.futuremark.com/resultComparison.action?compareResultId=9357375&compareResultType=6
So, the answer is no! There was no mipmaps involved. How stupid you think I am.. be a part of crew and start messing around with rules or cheats
E: I really have to say, that I'm very disappointed about the way you handle these "issues" Hipro. Why you couldn't just ask it by e-mail?

I'm sorry that we have made you feel that way. It was not our intention.
We don't have closed minds. I have talked with other moderators and we all put this poll up. Of course we like to now what community think about these issues.
Closed mind or not, I don't see any easy solution to moderate these new rankings which would be based on amount of GPUs. So my opinion doesn't change

Single card is a single card. No matter how many gpu's are under the heatsink. Just quit arguing about this.
I don't want to sound rude, but this conversation is starting to get stupid. If there is multiple cores in procerssor, why graphics card should be any different.
Bench results with 2 x 3870X2 will go to SLI/CF section. That's the way it will be.

How it is unfair to have 3870X2? They are available to everyone who want to have them. When you can have two 3870X2 on same setup it will be Dual Card setup and there is own multiple card section for it.
No changes are really needed.
I don't feel bad, if my previous scores are beaten badly by new cards. It is part of this game. We all just have to accept that.

Ok Guys if this is how you feel just wait until the new Intel Skultrail hits the market, i hope we can keep this as a single motherboard then as it will wipe the floor with any single CPU'd motherboard.
Skulltrail doesn't change anything. For example 3DM06 can use only 4 cores. If you have eight or sixteen, only four of them are doing job. It will be single motherboard and basic system with huge computing power in multithreated tasks. No worries about that.

1GPU / 2GPU = single cards
1 Core/ 4 Core = Single processors
Let's stop this nonsense now.
Categories based on sockets is much better solution at the moment. Simple is sometimes better! That's my opinion.

We should listen to community. That poll was done just after launch of the program.
A lot of things have changed after that and we should listen what our users say. Crew members personal opinions should not affect to this, like we all very well know.
