At the moment, I can report any incomplete score I want for being in breach of the rules and it's legit.
if that score doesn't earn global points and is not suspicious, it will only end up moderated as being "OK". and not blocked
JFYI
-
if a score is in line with what others have, reporting for reporting's sake will not be accepted with open arms by the mods, and might actually achieve the opposite
imho this process should be followed concerning a score:
1) is the score too high for the hardware used?
2) check validation provided
3) report if validation is insufficient
if you're going to report all scores without subtests details in the SS, you're jumping straight to #3 , end result might be that the score will be moderated "not suspicious", and can not be reported in the future,
Update 12th May 2009: HWBOT moderators may apply a not suspicious exception when moderating scores which do not earn global points. When a submission has minor mistakes or incomplete verification, it does not mean by definition it has to be blocked by a moderator. If these submissions are not suspicious in any way, and do not receive global points, the moderator has the right to approve them. This rule is to prevent users reporting each and every submission which have minor mistakes, in order to get a better rank for their own submission. Reporting submissions which are not suspicious but have minor mistakes is against the fair play spirit, and abuse of the reporting functionality will be acted upon.

K404, these are the RULES for 3D03
^I made that screeny
http://hwbot.org/rankings/benchmark/3dmark_2003/rules
# have a valid screenshot (see example below): clearly show 3Dmark score, 3Dmark subtest scores, 3Dmark settings, processor in CPU-Z, videocard in GPU-Z, unless if you provide a futuremark orb link# gpu-z in screenshot, dropdown must be visible if you run in SLI so all videocards are identified. Rivatuner may be used if GPU-Z fails to identify videocard properly (as of 8 oct 2007)
# have a valid futuremark orb link as verification for scores in the top 20
^^
it's also mandatory listed in text
the only exception is when you provide FM comparo link, then subtests are available at FM ORB
--
in short
Could FPS breakdown info be made mandatory?they already are
for all futuremark benchmarks.

That's impressive :
I am sorry to said that but jmke are you blind ?
I manually corrected 1000 wrong PII and PIII HW categories; forgive me for missing this detail on the score... 2 years ago

I love you too.
always knew this guy was heading for trouble with an attitude like that
-
RMA data doesn't tell you anything about the overclocking and performance capabilities of memory kits
but everything about the quality
-
collect RMA data from shops&manufacturers
-
but only dx11 for points.
might as well don't add DX9 then. A benchmark at HWbot without HWboints is worthless imho.
per month:
- MaxxMem: 250 submissions
- Reference clock: 233 submissions
- PCMark Vantage: 38 submissions (lol)
vs
- Aquamark: 1000+ submissions
- Wprime 32M: 1000+ submissions
Adding DX11 only doesn't make it an alternative to Futuremark 3D benchmarks at HWbot.
Adding both DX11 and DX9 profiles with HWBoints make Unigine real competition for Futuremark 3D dominated landscape.
popularity of a benchmark is determined by HWboint
-
Why is everyone afraid of moving forward?
it's not "moving forward". It's an elitist move. giving a new benchmark to a handful of people, ignoring the other 99% of active benchers at HWbot
-
No real harm, but if there was a heaven dx9 and dx11 bench with points, you'd have to bench a heluvalot benchmarks to gain the max amount of points
verandering van spijs doet eten, nooit slecht om iets te voegen;)
2x extra gaan het niet maken
HWboints system should easily cope with extra benchmarks, that was the whole point, no?
-
Sorry jkme but I agree with Massman, we need to move on, new benches new hardware..
If a bench has DX9 capability as well as DX11 support; it would be shortsighted to cut out a large user group, that would be just stupid
nothing is said that DX9 and DX11 modes are exclusive.
Unigine Heaven DX9
Unigine Heaven DX11
can peacefully co-exist imho. receiving boints for both
but hey
:celebration:
party! either way if Unigine submits directly HWbot, superduperdevelopment, first 3D benchmark ever to do this
-
Maybe a DX9 version that doesn't get points and a DX11 that gets points? It's possible.
there's enough motivation to allow DX9 version with HWBoints to be used by all the older hardware, benching old hardware has been made popular by HWBot, releasing new benches that exclude old hardware would be, imho, counterproductive and against the goal of "the more the merrier"

sharing of:

is allowed
not allowed:

That's some impressive stuff massman. BH-5? The most I got out of it was ±245Mhz i think.

I would make all links open in a new window, otherwise HWBot site opens in that iframe

nice catch TiMiN8R, this will fix my achievements too

The same goes for video cards which are modified either with a flashed BIOS or modded software, post your scores in the category of the original hardware.
