  1. I have an early CO ES.. no death here and been testing since Dec'12 with it.

*Only deaths I have heard of were early C0 Malay retail.. seems vccin over 2.3v is 'scary' for them. Though between folks trying to shove 1.6vcore while leaving vccin @ 1.85v, and people not using a DMM to verify SA and Ring/Uncore.. i can see why some CPU have gone to heaven

**MSI has actually adjusted the 'safe' voltage ranges in the BIOS since retail release to prevent people from getting to friendly with certain voltage ranges on air.

  2. Fyi, we had a funky cold issue with Z87 last weekend.

At -135°C, 01 Nature was ~70FPS; at -107°C, 01 nature was ~ 220FPS. Reboot solved the issue though.

PCI-E link 'cold slow' .. strange.. sometimes I get it.. other times not. Could be tied to input voltage ratio's. I have had both: VGA signal 'drop' to black screen, and VGA/PCI-E cold slow.. but adjusted Input and IO's and have not had it return.. yet

  3. RT = switching frequency

*will test and post some resistances and volt levels with ocp mod. A few caps seem to be helping. L0ud posted some good results with the card so far.

    Thanks for the info

  4. @ Mikecdm - Thats one crazy overvolt for sure! The Mpower I have, only has ~+.15v on CPU and vDIMM, running 100% droop options, with 2x Switching Freq.. which is very tolerable.

*You using the Aux power connection on the board by chance?

  5. more info for mods on the IC here-> http://www.overclock.net/t/1009397/msi-6950-tfiii-pe-oc-testing-w-cl3p20/40_40#post_14394941

    ..its same IC as 6950 PE/OC and GTX570 PE/OC..

**Per Ch. OCP and total OCP brought solid gains to both 6950 and 570.. seems circuits were a bit current limited even at stock clocks. Make sure your PCB does not have current shunts though.. as these will require additional mods to surpass amperage limitations.

  6. @ XA - could be just your board too.. seen some interesting variations in characteristics just using 1x Mpower over another..

*I bring vcore over ~1.87v in the OS though.. and not in BIOS, as cold booting high-vcore has been where I have seen catastrophic failure with them. vDroop starts getting increasingly worse as you tip 1.9v.
