  1. Is it possible to edit a bios to allow a CPU to run at lower ram dividers than those already available in the BIOS or are the limitations in place due to what the IMC is capable of?

Just wondering as I am wanting to try something different soon if it's actually possible.

  2. I quite like the idea of having more money in the game. Gives people a lot more motivation to push for the better scores since they will have an actual physical reward for their work and will in turn lead to a more competitive league across more hardware.

  3. Thread resurrection....

4770k ES, after reading the above i gather with 4770k being current 4 core, ES isn't allowed in OC? If that's correct (?) would it change if there were to be a Haswell refresh?

4770K not allowed now no and I would hazard a guess that it won't be allowed during the refresh either due to the fact that Haswell would still be the latest architecture :(

  4. The L3014 is listed as a Conroe CPU on HWBot but I'm not sure how correct that actually is since it looks a lot more like a Wolfdale CPU to me. The reason I say this is because the chip is built on a 45nm process, it includes SSE4.1 which the E6*** series didn't and it also has 3MB L3 Cache per core like wolfdale does as apposed to the 2MB on the conroe CPU. Even the Q1 08 release date makes it seem like a wolfdale CPU.

Just curious and open to discussion :)

  5. For sale I am getting rid of some of my 775 CPUs that either didn't meet my binning standards or are just surplus to my needs now. I have a very brief overclocking history for all CPUs and if you want to see it then feel free to ask. None of the CPUs have been abused at all when overclocked and were simply tested for max FSB on the lowest possible multiplier.
