  1. So the leagues are pretty much like filters for the database (everything allowed for UFL, filter out ES for XOL and filter subzero for EL) and the team rankings count the old way - overall but with modifications (I remember about Powerteams). So free for all for team ranking without that league division is what we needed, thanks
  2. Pieter-Jan, can you please make a summary - how does Team points count interfere with member points and three user leagues? For example, (from what I got from the powerpoint doc and first topic of this thread), I have a result that was done on air/water and beats 4-5 results on SS/LN2 and twenty on air/water but is not the first. Then I bench on SS and get the first place beating 6-7 results on SS/LN2. The one made on air doesn't get points anymore. But since the new system will reward beating extreme cooling results using air/water cooling and vice versa, my team gets less points for a better results, am I right? I don't even get the ranking system with user points but it can be understood if there are three rankings and you decide which one to participate, but the team points... If a team has a big variety in terms of member experience and benching stuff, it'll suck in all rankings or the other way - achieve the best from all three leagues? This question can be added to FAQ, I think not only I am confused
  3. I'll say for the current one - bad idea using PCMV (quite a long test) and dividing only by core count. Core i5/i7 FTW and AMD for the odd core counts. Too many hw to find and it's not the cheapest one. Yes, less stages would be nice - one or two. 4 is overkill. And more old 'n' fun hardware
  4. Ticket ID: 1095 Priority: Medium Merge these two: http://hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_353\r\nhttp://hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_1054\r\nThey are one CPU model. You can check here: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium_M/Intel-Pentium%20M%201.5%20GHz%20RH80535GC0211M%20%28BXM80535GC1500E%29.html\r\n\r\nAlso, rename the following:\r\nPentium M 0.9Ghz into \"Pentium M ULV 0.9 GHz\"\r\nPentium M 1.0Ghz into \"Pentium M ULV 1.0 GHz\"\r\nPentium M 1.1Ghz into \"Pentium M LV 1.1 GHz\"\r\nPentium M 713 into \"Pentium M ULV 1.1 GHz (713)\"\r\nPentium M 1.2Ghz into \"Pentium M LV 1.2 GHz\"\r\nPentium M 718 into \"Pentium M LV 1.3 GHz (718)\" and rename it\'s core to Banias.\r\nPentium M 1.5Ghz into \"Pentium M 1.5 GHz (705)\"\r\n\r\nAlso, as usual, add a space between frequency and \"GHz\" and rename all \"Ghz\" into \"GHz\". The last would be nice to apply to all pages.\r\n\r\nThat\'s all for the Banias CPUs for now.
  5. Ticket ID: 1094 Priority: Medium Delete this category: http://hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_1066\r\nIt\'s the same as Celeron M 733. The only difference is that CPU world names the Celeron M ULV 900MHz as a 718 model and Intel\'s site - as a 733 model. I\'ve written a report to CPU world to fix this.\r\n\r\nAnd one more - Intel separates the Celeron M subfamily from Celeron Mobile. All Core based Celerons are Celeron Mobile. Make a subfamily for Celeron Mobile and move all Core/Core2 based there. There are some of them here http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=61 too.\r\nRename the entries here: http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=20\r\nfrom Pentium M xxx Celeron into \"Celeron M xxx\"
  6. Thanks, that's great news! Good work and a very nice result as for me I'll seek for more work for you today.
  7. I'll check if there are more and I reported on the mentioned two already
  8. I can add pictures to clear out what I mean.
  9. Ticket ID: 1089 Priority: Medium The are two ways to get to a required category - via quick search and via \"hardware specs\" link. The first is when you want one specific piece of hardware, the second - when you browse a family, for example.\r\n\r\nThe current system is quite inconvenient. You have to go to \"HW specs\" link then check \"CPU\" or \"GPU\" (are there many people who check the charts? ) and then check a family.\r\n\r\nSo the suggestion is the following - replace the \"Hardware specs\" with \"CPU specs\" and \"GPU specs\" to make it one step closer. You can add the charts there - it won\'t overload the Navigation panel.\r\n\r\nThen, if it\'s not too hard, make the \"family\" links panel dynamic - showing up only when you point the mouse on the CPU specs or GPU specs.\r\nYou can open the global Asus site and point your mouse and Products to get what I mean.\r\n\r\nThese two will:\r\n1) Make browsing the subfamilies and categories two clicks closer (you don\'t have to select \"Hardware specs\" link and \"CPU/GPU specs\" link) and much faster\r\n2) It\'ll save extra space. With the current design the CPUs specs on the Subfamily page (I mean - model, #results, performance chart (silly one, better kick it off), number of cores, name of the core, frequency and avg. oc) - fit only in 1280*1024 and the HWBot record doesn\'t fit even with 1920*1080 (where does it fit? ).\r\n\r\nOh, and one more - the scrolling within this subfamily specs doesn\'t work with the wheel mouse button, only when you scroll the page down and move the horizontal scroll by mouse pointer. That\'s quite a pity.
  10. Reported on the results that I can see. I would be glad if you could check the user profiles so all of their results in this CPU/bench could be removed. Because the browsing system shows only the best results. Double check this please.
  11. I think there are either spacers or other invisible symbols in Pentium 2 and Pentium 2 Xeon (otherwise, the letter "P" of Ppro would be after the number 2). Try to copy the line "Pentium 2 " - with both spacers from "Pentium 2 Celeron" and paste in Pentium 2 and Pentium 2 Xeon. I hope this tip helps you.
  12. Wow, that's exactly how I'd like it to be Thanks again. I hope you agree that this way it looks better. There's only one small bug - the Pentium Pro is after Pentium 2 Celeron. If it's possible, move it to the first place in the group as the predecessor.
  13. Ticket ID: 1087 Priority: Medium Don\'t know why this one was missed by the crew \r\nHere\'s a couple results to move when it\'s done:\r\nhttp://hwbot.org/community/submission/851321_cegosf_superpi_pentium_4_1.6_ghz_willamette_s478_1min_41sec_890ms?tab=more\r\nhttp://hwbot.org/community/submission/852837_cegosf_cpu_z_pentium_4_1.6_ghz_willamette_s478_2272_mhz?tab=more
  14. Can you post a result page with rev. 2? Just to remember, how it was organized. I'll think of placing the most vital info on one page and the others - either lower or on the "More" tab.
  15. PJ, all this stuff can be moved to the "More" tab. As for the current result info - it's not overloaded but is badly formatted. In most screen resolution you can't see the screenshot preview link without scrolling. It maked looking a category through much slower. It would be better to reconsider the screenshot placement. And I don't think we really need two rank strings. Maybe it would be nice to make it more compact - for example make the result + category + date font a bit smaller and place the x out of xx under it. And the gold cup and points nearby. The screenshot can be placed right under the CPU group. And the MoBo group can be shifted to the right from the CPU, it's spare at the moment. This will fit main info in one page on opening the result without any scrolling. It does save time and lowers mistakes when you open 10-15 results simultaneously The main idea is to reconsider. I just gave an example how, it's not the exact way I want it to do - this could (should) be discussed if you accept changing it.
  16. Oh, I see. Yesterday I've looked and mistakenly seen there 5 P4 2.8, quite odd. I'll check the rest and especially the http://hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_335 as it is a wrong one. So the results will get removed to proper places and then deleting or reusing the category
  17. Thanks, Karl! As for the 10. - were did you move the results? I think there could be results from different categories. I've reported on 2.8, 2.8A, 2.8E a few days before so if you tell were you moved them, I won't have to check them again. Or you looked through the results moving them in appropriate categories? Just get me right - I don't find a reason to offense smbd. In fact I only try to make a nice thing closer to a perfect one. I don't spend my time on bad things, only on the ones that deserve it. So I don't make any critics if it's a bad thing - only if it's not good enough but can be better.
  18. Ticket ID: 1084 Priority: High http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=125\r\nAs one can see, the two-digit frequency CPUs are after three-digit. E.g. the Pentium 60 is after Pentium 200. Try to add an extra space there in order to shift them up.\r\n\r\nMove this category: http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=127\r\nfrom Pentium 1 to Pentium 2 since Ppro is based on a new P6 architecture.\r\n\r\nRename the \"Intel-AMD 386\" into \"80386\" and \"Intel-AMD 486\" into \"80486\" - there were not only AMD/Intel but also Chips, Cyrix, IBM, TI, ST, UMC and other vendors.\r\n\r\nAlso, remove the \"i\" in the beginning of i486 CPUs - for the same reason. And it makes them being aligned in the proper way. The exception is the Overdrive CPU - only Intel produced these.
  19. Which one of them do you mean? And I was speaking about PMs, e-mails is another case.
  20. Ticket ID: 1078 Priority: High http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/pentium_4_3.86_ghz_ee - this category is a bug. There were only three Gallatin CPUs for LGA775 - 3.2, 3.4 and 3.46. This one is an ES and it\'s CPU string is bugged. The 3.73 used the Prescott-2M core so there\'s no reason of such a CPU to exist.\r\nOne more bug of the same kind: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=392941 it\'s a 2.8E Prescott which CPU string is read as 1.86.\r\n\r\nThe result should be moved to 3.46 EE which I think this CPU is.
  21. Well, you're write, Bruce. Didn't think of this from the point of moderation
  22. It's about deleting false categories and correcting the names of existing, not adding new
  23. ATM I see that sections 5, 6, 8, 9 and 11 are done completely. There's left "GHz" issue, the 2.8 GHz Northwood renaming and moving the results from categories that are going to be deleted And kicking admins from time to time.
