0022 + ucode 09 needed for bclk oc (that bios was ucode 15)
Also here is 1401 bios I used for bclk oc https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1113803878014652469/1153675416201068574/1401bclk.cap
If either doesn't work, let me know

enabling ecores on this cpu = everything breaks

Awesome frequency

Surprisingly high core temp, what vcore?

Every chip I tried hit a wall at exactly the same, except for one was way way colder. So I guess just luck, but I haven't done it before.

Renoir and Cezanne don’t have an IO die, it’s all one chip.
I had dark hero and have a Crosshair VIII extreme and I know for sure those voltages aren’t there when Cezanne cpu is installed though.
You can also tell because they are set through AMD Overclocking, but don’t show up in Ryzen Master or zentimings with Renoir or Cezanne.

I am using the Hero (Wifi) cold but I couldn't find the VDDG CCD / IOD voltages which are critical to reduce coldbug. I am on the latest retail BIOS, do I need to go back to the ancient extreme BIOS in the OP? I remember when I had the Hero Dark it had those voltages even in the retail BIOS.
It should definitely still be there unless you are using a monolithic cpu that doesn’t have separate IOD and CCD. (Since those are infinity fabric voltages)

Unfortunately need to run with HPET, which cripples this platform
Also need memory tab

Benching in 4K because HWINFO takes foreverrrrrrrrrr to load on this platform, and it's part of benchmate. So I was benching R20 standalone, which you need to show the full window for.

Yep, no CB made it too easy, card isn’t really that special otherwise. I want to try and figure out the bios mod though, as I remember I had a really smooth time with the 580 lightning bios compared to this.

Was definitely just really cold outside that day

Yes the modules could cold boot full pot no problem, booted 8600 CL26 directly (no change in OS) and I think 9000 CL28 too. Also we couldn’t get anything stable haha, and still couldn’t at home with the sticks that cold.
Problem is stabilizing the cpu imc below -140 is a big problem, and that was on the special cold bios, before the competition bios -30 caused issues.
Can suggest trying to raise cpu vdd2 a bit vs ambient settings, but don’t expect more then 8200-8400 at full pot without working on it for a while.

Only had to run it one time and it was really fast, my strategy for this vs the 6.5 run was to absolutely slam all the subtimings instead of doing 9000c32 “safe”.I think it was 15 7 18 18 9 7 58 42, tCWL 26

need to compare to bigblock score, everyone around has pcie 1.1

I’m pretty sure that is just photoshop to try and hide the “serial number”, even though there is nothing useful there, and the only thing worth maybe hiding is the QR code on the right.

5592 stable, but didn’t go for valid, tried for 5612 and crash, but that’s what I pointed Hiwa to in the stream. (Had .2 bclk per click). At home the other week I got 5612.7 validation file corrupted lol. Thanks guys!

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS APEX Z790 | APEX 15
in Alder Lake (Z690) & Raptor Lake (Z790) OC
Posted
I tried G7400 the other day and ran into the same problem, so can’t really help haha. I feel like such a noob with it on ln2. But when I ran 12300 it really “just worked”, and behaved like a typical alder lake cpu. So you might be right.
