Recent searches for the golden goose imc resulted in another strong cpu .
Cpu is delidded with liquid metal, glued back and tested with ambient temperature of 25 degrees.
Maximus X Apex used, llc level 6
Quick cinebench tests showed 5400@1.38V set in bios and 5500@1.49V set in bios. Imc is strong as seen with boothing easy 4133 49-50 RTL
Looking for a quick sell before my Taipei trip next week.

2. My second best 8600K batch L740D i found for Gskill contest. Excellent cpu, ambient tests showed 5400 1.35V cinebench passing on water after delid with regular paste. Prime95 without avx works at 5400 1.40 set in bios.
Comes in box, bought retail from shop
Ln2 tests showed 6980 in loop for Geekbench3. Not many tests on this cpu except this , was kept as backup in case my best died.

Hello,
Yet another good 8700K cpu for sale.
Delided, conductonaut, relided. Quick test on custom water, 23 °C ambient shows cb15 5400 with 1.41v set in bios llc6 and 1.44 in cpuz. Can do 5500 with 1.52 in bios/ 1.55v cpuz on ambient. Good IMC, tested for 4200 12.11.11 geekbench easy on ambient, memory limit.

Asus Maximus IX Apex and Coffee Lake Cpu's !

As you could see already coffe lake cpu 's can run on the Asus Maximus IX Apex motherboard.
Full steps required for making this happen :
#1 Hardware mod
Do the following modifications :
Short the following pads in order to flash the bios file :
Solder the following points:

Rename it as creative.rom , copy it on a fat32 formatted drive and flash it using USB Flashback method.
NOTE!
Do the bios flash after hardware mods are done !!! Soldering cpu pads is not needed .
Known issue is that HT does not work currently on 6c cpu's hence it is disabled by default. After everything is set-up board will work with cofee lake based cpu's as well as with older cpu's without issue.
