Please don't follow the urge to collect memory kits. Collectors are the plague of the benching community. Items made in low volumes are hard to find as they are, and people who let them fall apart in their drawers to satisfy their ego aren't exactly helping.

Depends how much you scalp them for, i was really happy in the past when DDR3 era was ending to sell a 2400C8 Pi and the Vengeance Pro 2666C10 for 1000E :)  I do undestand what you are saying and it makes sens, but isn't it ego we are all driven by?

Are these any good in 32M? Are these single- or dual-ranked sticks?

Single-rank, dual-rank djr should still be way easier than b-die on rocket lake. Regarding S-pi i did not test, shouldn't be that far off though, twr and trtp can go retard low btw.

  3. Hey guys, let's talk and post results of the hynix djr ic here.

You already know that these broke memory frequency WR on Z490, well things only got better on Z590.

With the better IMC from RocketLake now these sticks can be used for competitive benching as well.

I had a shot with them on Asus Maximus XIII Apex and things are interesting.

Let me put it this way. On air a decent Hynix DJR Kit is most of the times better than a very good B-die kit. On cold if your Cpu can handle both high core clock and memory clock at same time, a decent Hynix DJR kit is similar to a great B-die kit. To tell the whole story, Hynix DJR is way easier to handle, no need for maxmem, if it enters windows it usually runs without hickups.

I was really excited about the Hynix DJR performance and really hoped that they will send the Samsung B-die at the thrash bin after so many years of painfull benching, sadly they cannot top but they are a very very viable alternative.
You can find 3 profiles in Apex Bios which work and they give a good starting point if you want to try Hynix DJR on your brand new Apex and Rocket Lake ?
Results on Intel 11900KF and Asus Maximus XII Apex:

Hynix DJR cooled down to -150:
DDR4-5866 17-27-27, memory score at 5 ghz on older microcode bios ==> 12058
Which is better than the memory score of Samsung B-die DDR4-5333 15-15-15 (12034) in same conditions.
Hynix DJR on air can do between DDR4-5600-5700 with C19 and the performance is equivalent to a Samsung B-die DDR4-5000-5066 C14.
    Cold findings with Hynix DJR:
    - they scale good till -50, at -150 there is a small gain but not much.
    - trcd and trp remain same air vs cold, no gain
    - trfc which really helps these ( 20 values tighter in TRFC gives 100 points boost in geek3 memscore) sadly is the same on cold
    - secondary and tertiary go very low, on ln2 tighter than air but no performance gains. There are no twr or trtp or whatever issues Samsung B-die has.

Here is my best result with HyperX DDR4-4600 C19 based on Hynix DJR on ln2:

Similar performance to Samsung B-die at DDR4-5333 15-15-15

Feel free to post your results and experiences as well, maybe we can find some better binns or better sorting methods.

  4. Very strong chiller, i had it when i had porn thoughts with some vga cards. I replaced the pump with a iwaki md40, top japanese stuff which will last for ages. Basically if this unit is shipped properly it should last until the end of overclocking  :D

  5. Well while i do know and experienced myself that 3d scores are harder to get than 2d you also have to take into consideration the costs related to this.

With current cards costs it makes absolutely nonsense. I mean 2000$ is already a lot of money for a video card however with current mining situation and lack of stock we have a rtx3090 kingpin edition at 4000$ in Romania right now. Getting a random one does not guarantee you anything to say at least.

Since 3dcards have no categories like cpu core count you get no points for a mainstream card for example.

On the other side it is funny how supported guys with top high-end RTX3090 unavailable to the plebs are making case for higher 3d points.   Yes, random unbinned samples, average Joe can get the same freqs, blablabla.

Point is , everyone is looking after their asses and assets. In my opinion given the current situation and price, the point distribution between 2d and 3d is quite fair.

god damn it seal2fast why didn't you reply earlier, thanks to that fucktarded brexit I can't buy your 1080 Ti KPE without getting raped on shipping.

Prices of the 780 Ti KP FC's are missing btw

haha, mijn posts stealth-editten Leeghoofd? niks daarvan klaphark :^)

Yes, what's happening with brexit is amazing to say at least. Taxes are same like if you order from outside EU, many packages are seized France or Germany. I sent a cpu to UK with a 200E value, the customer payed 102 quids taxes. Such a sad story...

We're not interested in having Geekbench integrated in Benchmate.  Seeing that you're re-introducing support is confusing.  I would urge you to reconsider this decision.

Well, as long as i paid for the license i think i am entitled to use your software in a wrapper , sort of way which benchmate is. I have no idea what you are thinking, like you coded a magic piece of software or whatever.   And yes, i paid for 2 licenses so far.

Let me put it this way. You created nothing special, nothing amazing and your last two itinerations of geekbench are just warmed soup. Probably your own way of milking and beating the dead horse. Also i am not really sure how much popular geekbench would had been without hwbot in it's begginings.

Don't get me wrong, i am a big hater of this software, i think i said that more than once however if people want benchmate then i have to use it as well for points....

So, overall, what is your big problem seeing geekbench in benchmate? It's still your software, no one interferes with it, you will get the same money, your wife is not going to leave you for this...what's the problem?  Be a grown-up and spill it out loud and clear.
